Luckily no serious complications happened with Rudeus and Eris when they were unwillingly transported randomly in the magic continent. New party member Ruijerd arrives, and we finally get to meet Roxy's parents. And those was quite the experiences they received concerning the Adventurer's Guild. Let's hope the discrimination of the Supard tribe will later dissipate. One volume later, a year has passed and the group is now nearing their final destination.

The Magic continent arc is pretty much the adventurers trope arc of this series. It's always fun to read about the characters going through the traditional adventurers life. :D

I feel the same completely.
First two volumes were 5/5 for me, this one is a solid 4/5. Still insanely good but a bit less hype.

Volume 3 - 8.8/10

The anime portion for this volume was very good and enjoyable but definitely the weakest of the first 3 volumes adapted in that season because 3 episodes were not enough time to cover everything. One more episode would have really helped this a lot. Key points were covered and visuals were great, but there were some missing elements too that I wish were there in the anime for sure.

Regardless, when it comes to the volume itself, it was great. A lot more traditional for an isekai, adventure series than the first two since this volume was straight up an adventure volume with Rudeus and Eris trying to find their way back home after being teleported at the Demon Continent, meeting Ruijerd in the process (and Rudeus confronting Hitogami for the first time too). While this volume is a bit more standard than the first two, the world building in this volume was exceptional and gave so much detail to the Demon Continent in various aspects. This volume truly showed how much the author cared for the entire world in this series with giving love and focus to even the smallest of details.

Some great focus too on Ruijerd and Rudeus' character and clash in philosophies, while coming to an organic, mutual understanding at the end despite both still being deeply flawed in their thinking for certain situations. The two of them and Eris have a very weird but charming dynamic together as a trio. I'll say there is a LOT going on in this volume so it did feel a tad heavy-handed at times but the content and characterization more than made up for the dense nature of the volume.

Had tons of fun reading a straight up adventure volume from an isekai series, that feels refreshing to say. Great first 3 volumes to start off this wild journey. On to the season 2 portion now of the LNs. Love the side story too with Ariel and Luke being introduced at the end.
