| What I'm hoping for: -TK/Kari is confirmed. -Brave Heart is included in the digivolution scenes. -Digimon Adventure 02 is ignored. -Digimon Adventure 02 spoilers: [SPOILER]-The ending is ignored and Tai/Sora happens. -If the ending isn't ignored, Tai/Mimi or Joe/Mimi. -The ending is ignored and not everyone is a Digidestined.[/QUOTE] -02 characters get minimal screentime if they acknowledge 02. -Ultimate/Adult level Digimon come back! -No stupid armor or DNA digivolving. -Edit: THE OTHER DIGIMON GET MEGA EVOLUTIONS. Preferably their PSP ones (so Biyomon - Phoenixmon, Tentomon - HerculesKabuterimon, Palmon - Rosemon, Gomamon - Vikemon, Patamon - Seraphimon, Gatomon - Ophanimon). Although I'd actually prefer Gatomon getting Magnadramon instead of Ophanimon. This is all just wishful thinking. But I'm excited either way. :) |

| Its been a while since I last saw the first digimon adventure and its movie, so I dont really remember much, and I hvnt seen any of the series after those 2, so I may be wrong, but from what I do remember, didn't Taichi and Sora have a few "moments" together or like weren't there were teases about those 2 or something? I even remember that in the movie, there was something between those 2 regarding a letter and I vaguely remember Tachi getting really embarrassed after his sister sent it by accident or something, and then when Sora read it, she blushed I think. So yah, I'm not sure if the show started to move more towards YamatoxSora after that or if it came out of nowhere, but I was pretty surprised when I read some of the comments here about how Yamato and Sora got married and had kids. |

If the series was made in this day and age, I'm pretty sure there would be tai x yamato fan art/doujins atleast lol. Either way, if this new sequels seems interesting enough, I'll probably rewatch the entire first series and it's movie before watching this one. Will definitely need to refresh my memory before watching a direct sequel. |

Yamato has indeed showed some maturity in the first season even for a child, but whenever it involves his little brother, he gets easily provoked, causing a rift within the group, so I guess that's why some fans don't like that about him. |

I think Digimon actually did a good job at creating a cast with believable strengths and weaknesses which made them all likable in their own way (at least for me). However the only character who pissed me off for an extended period of time throughout the show was Yamato, which sparked when he acted on his petty jealousy of Taichi. But, like others have said, he's only a kid and if you literally put one kid into the leader position someone is bound to get jealous. People criticized Mimi for not wanting to fight too, but she was only 9 and I'm pretty sure most 9-year-olds would not want to fight when forced into a situation where they HAVE to save the world. It could actually be pretty psychologically traumatizing fighting against people who wanted to kill you, experiencing loss of the friends you made along the way. However the kids somehow managed to get through it mostly unaffected. The only character who seemed "too perfect" to me was Hikari. Love her, and yes her main problem was that she forgets to look after herself because she cares so much about others, but she still seemed that way to me. Anyway hopefully this sequel will be able to carry on the quality characterization of these characters from the first season (for a kid's show anyway). I feel like 02 dropped the ball in that department with some characters - Taichi became too serious and not very energetic, Mimi became surprisingly sweet and lost her blunt nature I enjoyed so much in the first season, Joe lost his signature anxiousness/nervousness, somehow Takeru wanted to purge all evil after losing Angemon even though it was never picked up in the first season, etc. |
