| Loved this episode! Bartolomeo fanboying over Luffy was hilarious and the conversation betweeen Luffy and Blackbeard wasw short but still awesome. Though only down side was Rebecca she felt like a bit dissapointing. Still 5/5 |

| I just loved this episode. It's definitely in the top 3 episodes of One Piece (among the past 100 episodes) if not the best. -The part where Bartolomeo fanboys Luffy was hilarious. Not to mention, Luffy may get himself a very powerful ally. -The manner in which Luffy overthrows Rebecca while being caught by another convict gladiator was epic. -The story is finally intensifying and is becoming more interesting. -The best part of this episode, the soundtracks. The ending of the episode was filled with soundtracks that I love which have hardly been used after timeskip. Can't help but look forward to the next episode :D |

You know, I've been thinking the armor for Rebecca was pretty ridiculous, but this case might actually be justified. They're probably forcing her to wear that for the male gladiator viewers.... ._. Still, it doesn't excuse the likes of Nami or Robin. Bartolomeo is a creepy fanboy! I did not see that coming. I didn't see Rebecca's attack coming either, but Luffy handled that well. I think nearly everyone's out to get him. xD Good episode overall. |

| Good episode. Bartolomeo was as funny as in the manga, definitely one of the best characters in this arc. Rebecca's scene was done really well, I like her character and having Ayanami Rei's voice actress is a huge plus. Wishful thinking at this point but it be great if she joined the crew, definitely prefer another girl over the dull generic samurai guy. |

| Seriously this episode was bad. Bad animation, bad drawing face. Only moment with Luffy and Rebbeca at the end and soundtrack were good. Toei doesn't deserve for One Piece. | Wow, what a One Piece episode! I haven't enjoyed a full One Piece episode from start to finish like I did with this one for awhile! This is the best post-timeskip arc in all of One Piece in both the anime and manga. So much content in one episode. From the Cavendish, Bartolomeo, Don Chinjao stuff to the Blackbeard conversation to the Rebecca scene it was truly a content filled episode of One Piece. I loved the beginning with the Cavendish and Luffy mini fight, it was very entertaining to watch. I really like Cavendish, I think he's a very interesting One Piece villain and I've enjoyed him throughout this arc. The Bartolomeo stuff from when he was attacking those guys for making fun of Luffy to seeing his fanboyism for Luffy was very entertaining and comedic. I loved the Loguetown flashback, it reminded me how powerful that scene was especially with Bartolomeo's emphasis on how he survived it really makes me look back on that particular scene a little more importantly. I loved Bartolomeo's flashbacks and story about how he's followed the Straw Hats very closely, it's nice to see that Luffy actually has a fan now. I loved seeing Don Chinjao being gracious to Luffy after he got him back his conehead, also I found it very important that he said he will put his grandson's army under Luffy this could be something very important soon or much later down the line in One Piece if Luffy or the Straw Hats need reinforcements or backup. I loved the chase scene with all of them chasing Luffy. The Blackbeard conversation was very great for us to watch, I can't wait to see later on down the line Luffy vs. Blackbeard. The best part about the episode in my opinion was the Rebecca stuff, that scene was amazingly well done. I'll be honest, it was very hard not to have perverted thoughts when she said do whatever you want to me lol. Luffy seemed really concerned when he heard their stories and you could assume Luffy may try to help them because that's the kind of character Luffy is. But that ending scene with the attempted ambush and Rebecca's dramatic dialogue was splendidly well done. It did a good job in extracting a little bit of emotion from us the viewers, so well done. I loved this whole episode, the ending was so great in my opinion. I'll give this episode a solid 5/5 which One Piece episodes NEVER seem to get anymore because the anime for the most part has been lackluster since the timeskip (the manga is still amazing though). But great episode, now the One Piece anime at least has momentum and hopefully they'll be able to keep up this momentum for episodes to come. Also, congratulations to the One Piece anime for reaching 650 episodes which is a huge milestone. The manga recently reached 750 chapters so good job to One Piece for really continuing to be such an amazing and beautiful series after 750 chapters and 650 episodes. S/O to One Piece for going so far! I hope years down the line I'll still be following this series and that I'll be alive to read/watch it's ending. Sorry for the long rant I went on. Either way, solid episode. |
