Finally got the one thing I was wanting: All of Skyrim's downloadable content. It's now time to start up another new character.

I'm going back and forth on whether I want Hero Siege.

Duh. People voted in the Banished/Papers Please/Surgeon Sim/ Sims 3 bunch instead of the fighting one... guess no BlazBlue and KoF for me. :/

Oh well, got a foil summer sale card, made some money instead of spending. :D

I made sure to empty my account before the sale started, taking out the remaining in cash. You won't get to increase my backlog this time, Gaben!

Bought nothing yet. Only 1 or 2 games I wanted but definitely not at that prices. Since I have so many options to play with, I don't mind waiting for the next next sales.

Has anyone played all of the games they've bought from sales? Because I know some people just hoard these things 'cause they bought them on impulse.

Well, out of the huge number of 10 games I bought on steam sales I've played 8 so far. And I have a rule not to spend over $50 on a single sale, so no hoarding for me. I have a friend who's hoarding games though (and he actually buys most of them at full price on release).

There are people engaging steam like it's a f2p collecting game. The goal is not buy more than you can chew and only if you really want it. Impulse buying and than not playing these games are simply bending over to mega corporations.

Steam is just one of the vendor on PC anyway, aside from being the most popular.

My games library has increased by 17.

I'll never play any of them. I love the summer sale.

So true, I have over 100 games in my Steam library and only played about 20 of them seriously (10+ hours of gameplay.)

Glad I was finally able to legitimately get the Skyrim dlc. Though it's weird the legendary edition was cheaper than simply buying the dlc individually.

Same boat here, haven't played over half the games I own.

I've gotten much more out of the GOG sale thus far.. Only thing on Steam I've picked up is Euro Truck Simulator 2, purely on a whim (85% off, and it's been reviewed well).

It's actually strangely enjoyable, heh..

Ended up getting Final Fantasy VIII. For old times sake I guess. I used to have it but gave it to a friend of mine years ago, so it got lost eventually. Pretty much got it for free since I used the money I got from card selling.

This time around I am trying not to buy games on a whim anymore and definitely no early access games, out of the 4 early access games I bought so far, before this sale, 1 was released recently but is a disappointment (Nether), 1 barely gets new important updates but I still have some small hopes for it (Interstellar Marines) and the other 2 I am pretty happy with (Rust, Starbound), even if I did not play them as mush as I thought I would, still, I will stick with finished games, mostly since I don't like at all steam policy to this early access and even the intense promotion it does for it and there are still plenty of complete games out there that I want.

Anyway, lets stop the mad ramblings and back to the summer sale.

I never played the 1st 2 Bioshock games so I got those, I also bought Shadowrun Returns and Mount & Blade: Warband. I also hope to get Dishonored and maybe CS GO, yeah I am on steam and I don't have a single CS game, it's a miracle. I did have a copy of CS GO a while ago but I gifted it to my brother since he is a fan of CS 1.6.

Greenmangaming also had a sale before steam, so I got State of Decay from them, it was pretty much the same price steam had a few days ago. Also got Dark Souls PTDE, Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition and Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition.

I got lot more out of gog too. So far only game i have bought from steam sale is unepic. There's been some decent deals on the "voting section" but the good deals were always on the loosing rooster. Hopefully the on that has castle crashers for 1.20e euros will win now but with my luck the other thing get's chosen.

Hold your wallets, hold your wallets! Sons of Steam, of Valve, my brothers! I see in your eyes the same fear that would take the heart of me. A day may come when the courage of men fails, when we forsake our friends and break all bonds of currency, but it is not this day. An hour of offers and shattered prices, when the age of men comes crashing down! But it is not this day! This day we fight!

Nothing offered so far has interest me (I avoid early access games) or I already own the game. Only game I waiting for is Mercenary Kings, that's about it. They only offered 15% off on DayZ and it's early access too, what a shame.
