| Biscuit: "He's a murderer, you know." Gon: "Yeah but he did us a favor." That's far from a normal reaction, especially considering Binolt was helping them under duress (at the very least, Bisky made it clear it was either do that or death). One of the best examples of why Gon fascinates me as a character. Didn't care much for Binolt's backstory, it's not inherently bad to explain how he came to be but I didn't find it very effective. I recall finding it better executed in the 2011 anime adaption. Anyway, a lot of volume 14 was set-up but it was good set-up, particularly the stuff with the Phantom Troupe & was Biscuit throws herself into the dynamic, it got a lot more enjoyable to read each chapter. |
