so is so funny im at a loss for words.. anime isnt evil.. its a way of life.. for some people including myself its a nice way to pass a boring day, too bad schools blocked most streaming sites so i cant even check out a few shows at school.. anyways back to the main point at hand, the person who wrote this most likely had some bad encounter with some animes or just has a few screws loose.

Some moron on the internet said:

Here in America, we live in a climate of moral decay. What is the
cause of this? It is called "anime". Anime is a perverse, evil,
insidious form of animation from the dark land of Japan, and is
corrupting America's youth at unprecedented rates. Here are a few
examples of anime which are circulating on the Internet and may very
well be in your home:

1) Ah My Goddess: A sick and disgusting show which causes children
under the age of 18 to think they are capable of love. The main female
character is clearly under 18, and is forced into a romantic
relationship by an older man who "wishes" for her to be his girlfriend
forever. He even KISSES her, and she appears NAKED. That poor girl
must be so confused.

2) Love Hina: I'm not even going to mention the unspeakable,
disgusting, pedophilic, pornographic events which transpire during
this show, but suffice it to say, groups of young men on Love
Hina-fueled rampages are raping children at a level unheard of since
the 60s.

If you are a parent or a decent human being, I urge you to sign this
petition to ban all forms of anime in the United States. Anyone who is
found in possesion of anime should be arrested and jailed for an
exhorbant period of time. Anime is a dark scourge upon our beautiful
nation, and we don't need this Japanese filth corrupting the hearts of
the children.

As a resonsible Christian, I demand to see this garbage removed from
our nation. Please sign this petition and send it to George Bush, your
Congressman, and the makers/distributors of anime filth and depravity.

Do the right thing.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned

Funny beyond belief. Also considering Ah My Goddess is likely one of the purest anime shows out there.

I would respond with "Listen you mental midget, first off cram your emotionally stunted dependency on guilt worship and an obsession with imaginary people. Stuff your obsession with fantasy myths and boogey men designed to let you escape responsibility for your own actions.'

Then I would throw in that the forefathers of the US actually had no problem with marrying lolis who you can bet ended up on their back being fucked as that is what you do with your wife. it was good enough for those hard core religious men, it's good enough for now.

And if I thought more was needed, I'd start mentioning all of the crimes over the centuries that have been committed in the name of religion. And I'd point out the average anime enthusiast just likes watching sappy romances. Hardly comparable with fucking idiots burning women at the stake.
While not technically anime, currently I am a big fan of Hatsune Miku.
At least I can go see her in concert.

When the Bible was originally compiled many of the books were omitted from it.
They weren't omitted; they simply weren't added, because the factuality(inb4 Atheist rage) of the books couldn't be verified. Of course, the Book of Revelations is an exception, since its author pulled the same shit that authors of chain letters typically do(e.g.: "If you don't pass this message on to other people, bad things will happen."), which probably scared whoever was compiling the Bible into adding it in.

That's a good one. If books were omitted because of factuality then the bible would have never been written in the first place.

Yeah... I don't really see anything wrong with all the intense & gorey violence, or the swearing. The only thing that would piss me off is if the anime is really overdramatic or they writers try to hard.

It's true. You can't verify factuality of ANY religious book.

It's really a given that God's existence can't be proven by conventional means. I've seen Christians admit this as well.

Yet another stuck up American asshole who thinks he/she is better than the rest of the world because he/she is an american although I am American as well. Love Hina the characters are a three year age difference I believe? I can hardly call that pedophilia. I do recall a few parts where the main character got embarrassed at seeing that middle school girl naked but who wouldn't be?

I lol at people like that.

People still believe Magic: The Gathering is evil, and Harry Potter as well as any form of fiction to be morally compromising.

Didn't any of you ever see Jesus Camp? There are shit tons of people in the world like that. Be afraid of them because they're breeding.

Don't forget pokemon. Both Satanic magic and cute animals being hurt.

At least many of them have a tendency to blow themselves up. Unfortunately though, that is not the case with those in America and most of the west.
