Love this episode.
It's so heart wrenching to see Welkin let go of his emotions.
Finally things are moving forward between him & Alicia.

Good ep, though not as good as 17 and 18, imo. Glad that Welkin was able to let it all out and get back to normal.
Whoo Zaka. Wished there had been a bit more between him and Rosie. The ep moved really fast through all the scenes -- Bruhl's battle was about 3.5 minutes long :x
Next ep seems to have lol quality art...oh well. Selvie and Cordelia are back, all I'd need is some Ellet and I'd be happy again. This place is Naggiar, right? Maybe the next big event will happen at the end of this ep...

slow episode, they should really get to the point with the plot seriously.

I feel the ending is going to be rushed....
bla bla bla
The endless debate between fans and haters. At one point, after spending a lot of time on MAL, you just realize it's totally pointless.

yeah, the recapture of Bruhl had 1 minute screentime, the rest of the episode was Welkin trying to be emo but can't...

They should develop on the political/military/historical aspect more. It's good to have the characters well developed but don't overdo it....We get it already that Isara's death had a great impact, but we need to move on....

I didn't know that capturing a town in this anime is only take 1 minute lol, and there is not even any strategy, the Imperial is such a wimp.

I think it's well time, we have to know where is Alicia's stand for Welkin, and that is answered in this episode.

The flashback is really get into my nerves i think the title is Fit..Tears,, I cry when that flashback happens..Twice damn it

So next episode Alicia will "Wake Up" right? or the next episode after 20?

It is easy, because enemy dont know how to aim(oh well that sniper got lucky shot and killed poor Ishara) and people in tank dont know how to shoot with that thing -_-...heck i could capture town like that by myself.

Good episode tought, it was nice they get their home town back and Welkin showed some emotions. Now starts big fight? I realy woulnd like to see any super powers like in opening....but oh well it will be interesting nevertheless.

Hmm based on what i read looks like some people are dissatisfied with the fact that the battle only took 1 minute.
But do plz remember the Anime is the anime and
the game is the game, im guessing that they wanted to show scenes were not in the game....
no i havent played the game, but wouldnt the anime be boring if it just 100% just like the game? again if your dissatisfied i guess just go play the game

anyways did anyone see the evil grin Faldio had in the preview?

Zaka FTW !!! He was by far the best character in the show and I enjoyed the nice vibe between him and Rosie ( lacked in the game, the only nice thing that the anime has to offer IMHO) as well as GODDESS Marina's moments far more than the rest of the cast and even the plot. Heck, they are the only reason I still stick to this train wreck of a show...

Faldio keep making me wonder why I liked him so much in the game, now I understand why: His anime version sucks and only serve as bait for fangirlz, I bet if they ever make Welkin sparkle, those girls will fancy him as much if not better than Faldio, just show how easy fangirlz are to manipulate ;p

If he's not with us, he's AGAINST us!!!

Ouw you mean when he was looking at Selvaria??,, Well we did saw how he is seems interested when the Ragnite glowing on Alicia and the fact that Faldio know that Alicia is decendant of Valkyrur see when he is reading a lot of book, i mean he is an archaelogist (<did i spell it right?) right? so i think that evil grin is maybe some kind "excited satisfied grin" the fact that Faldio finally see the real alive Valkyrur

I enjoyed this episode. Marina fans get to see her use her weapon. Yeah the Imperials seemed pretty weak....squad 7 only has a handful of soldiers. Isara looked cute in the flashback. There's also a nice Welkin x Alicia moment...though Welkin has yet to officially respond to Alicia's feelings.

Yay things have patched up between Alicia and Welkin and Welkin seems to have to an extent overcome his grief over the loss of Isara, although there is still 7 episodes left so what will they do to fill those =O? More about Alicia being a Valkyrie maybe?

Another great episode.
That was very emotional. The whole house scene with Welkin remembering Isara and then crying was really sad. But with this he should feel better and be able to move on. Nice to see Alicia and Welkin holding hands at the end.
Also very nice to see Zaka again, he's an awesome character - I love that he's part of Squad 7 now!
Next episode looks good as well with more action and some Selvaria. I think the plot will start advancing now.

First things first... Young Isara is MOE! ♥ Why did you have to die? ;_;

Apparently Zaka won't have his own tank in this show. Edelweiss must be so badass that giving S7 another tank would make them too overpowered. -_- (And it's not like they're facing military geniuses)

I was surprised Jann had to stop Suzy from firing. Normally she wouldn't shoot even if asked to...

I like the music they used before the battle, same bgm as in the game and one of the finest among other tracks on the original score.

The battle was nicely animated but as always in this show, it only lasted about a minute. Empire soldiers are still a bunch of idiots. Apparently in the imperial army it's a good idea to station a tank in front of a guard post but not man it. Just to scare off the country kids I guess... On another note I got to see Marina-sniper-chan in action so that's pretty cool. :)

Seeing Welkin finally showing some emotion (read "acting like a random Gundam emo-kun") was... disturbing. I mean, maybe it's only me, but when he cried it sounded like he was being slaughtered.

Next episode will be about that desert trench war during a sandstorm. We'll finally get to see Selvaria in badass Valkyria mode. :) Which means Alicia will awaken soon too. Well I hope they'll give us some more battle scenes than this episode.

Great, very emotional episode. I was also glad to see that the characters fulfilled their classroles better than in the earlier battles (everyone was just running around with scout rifles). Marina sniping people <3

Speaking about sniping, lol at them showing Faldio in the shooting range.

Just about average episode, very slow and without much good developments. More like expected and "basic" developments, but I guess VC is not really the most innovative, realistic or interesting show out there so I shouldn't be expecting too much from it..

I really liked this Episode,
1. The Return to Bruhl is like a stopping in this war,and will be good moral burst
2. As for Welkin and Alica,it helped Welkin to confess his feelings and to get over them
Also was Alicas Felling about the promise a bit interesting because it showed the twist of the war

I thought this was great...

And maybe you guys don't remember, but the game is essentially a love story wrapped around the struggle of squad 7 and the war. The romance between welkin and alicia was the cornerstone of almost everything, and even in the game had the most dedicated time as far as cutscenes and such...

So anyway, I think they're doing just fine building on that relationship, and have still managed to toss the game stuff in too.

The Bruhl battle was way to short really, i expected more out of it. But i liked the end, he finally acknowledge Isara´s death and got back to his usual self.

Of couse, i would have liked a better ending on that one. Alicia hugging Welkin when he cried would have had more of an impact than what they decided to do.

But at least we got to see that they are getting even closer now that he is his old self again.
