karmashizzle said: phos's sword is the thin blade and antarc's is the serrated thick blade  a couple scenes later, they swapped swords  there wasnt any mention of this. iirc not in the manga as well. a lil nitpick I know this was posted years ago but I understood it as Antarc trying to ensure that Phos has easier time doing his duty. Antarc's sword seems to be better suited to the duty than Phos' so they switched them as Phos is already fairly exhausted. |

| This episode changed my entire view of this series. It went from just another show in my Amazon Prime queue to a must finish weekend binge. From the cold waters rose the most flawless and magnificent gem in all the world, Antarcticite. This would be me every winter waiting outside Antarcticite's room  If I were a gem I'd want an Antarcticite hug. Then I could finally sleep through the winter. |

| Seems like Phos is going to get an upgrade. The more Phos changes itself the more memories of itself are lost. - Kinda reminds me of sci-fi like GitS (or any other sci-fi show with mechanical upgrades) where people would change their body to the point where it'd be a completely different person. Despite all of this, the majority was light hearted and fun to follow, Phos running around with Antarcticite was great. |

| Damn, I guess freezing cold water is too much for their material to handle, otherwise they could’ve just jump in after phos’ arms. How did they break anyway, literally just got dipped in some cold water. I’m curious about cinnabar though, does she get to hibernate? They showed her still out by the sea when all of them went into hibernation |

| They're still alive. Phos felt responsible for it, she's going through a lot of things. I can't wonder how she felt the past 300 years. Unable to do anything for the other ppl. Antaric is pretty nice character and hella strong. Phos also wants to change but hesitates. If she gets stronger arms now she'll be even better.. |

| Welcome to the Wondrous Land of the Winter Wonders!!! Just as how one might say how majestic winter is, so is the OST. Truly befitting of the atmosphere in this ep. Here we got a new character, Antarcticite who has always worked by herself much like Cinnabar but for a very different reason. Now ofc Phos being the gem she is, especially after all the changes that have happened, decided to not hibernate. Tsk tsk tsk, you're missing out on sleeping with those cute pyjamas and hairstyles they put you on, lol even Bors had undergone the same kind of makeover, that's adorable. Phos is having some borderline suicidal thoughts considering how she would be willing to destroy herself and replace parts of herself with a better mineral, damn Ice floe, just crush yourselves and make yourself into a slushy. |

| This episode was nice and even lighthearted until the end.... I'm shocked at what Phos did. This show feels like body horror some how, it reminds me of the manga of Tokyo Ghoul. |

| Antarcticite is pretty cool and is one of the best duos that Phos could've gotten IMO. This episode was nice and chill until Phos fell into the ice floe and lost her arms. I wonder how she attained the ability to hear these things, was it because she combined with the "flesh?" |
| Watching this episode made me happy, amused, interested, terrified and concerned all at the same time. Obviously, the gems looks so darn cute in their dresses. I'm wondering how the whole thing will turn out since it's likely they're the only two gems roaming around that freely. Antarctitite certainly is our big ice queen tsundere. Claiming the hugs of Sensei while being kinda cold (couldn't resist) yet supportive and caring about Phos. |

| I'm relieved that the Amethyst twins are okay and all but man is Phos going thru it. Antarctictite being introduced was cool, seems like a dope character to have. The mention of their Mohs scale level does seem like a forewarning tho ngl and I hope that isn't the case. The ice slopes being able to communicate tho is such a horrific concept that I love to see being used. Also, HOW DID PHOS LOSE THE ARMS?! I hope there's nothing in the water ;-; |

| The ice floes in this world can have inclusions in them? We're told this living material is developed at the bottom of the ocean floor, then somehow float up. What material that floated up got stuck in the ice floes? Salt? There are a million questions I have about this world. Did sensei call them sinners? He definitely said the ice floes exacerbate doubts of people. Phos got the ability to comprehend different languages from being processed into shell material. Does that mean gems who awake on the beach already know the gem language? |
| How did Phos lose her arms? Was the water too cold for her? This could mean another upgrade for her—but of course, she’s going to lose some of her memories again. I’m wondering if the drama moving forward will be Phos forgetting about Cinnabar… or if Cinnabar will be the only thing she remembers after losing so many parts of herself. |
