Not fall in love with them on first sight. It's different for others animes with the same genre. I'm looking foward to the next episode. |

| 1st episode is better than what I expected. I thought this going to be a crap like brother conflict. I didn't expect it to have S&M The characters look very handsome. Bitch-chan looks much cuter than what I expected (100x times cuter than the girl from brother conflict) |

| AHH finally! After waiting for so long the first ep is out, and I must say I'm not dissapointed! Animation is weird, characters (also the colours used for em) look totally different compared to the pic's I'm used in the drama cd's and game BUT I am not dissapointed~ Hoping they'll give us something original instead of following the game routes! Just wishing one thing..PLEASE DON'T FOLLOW AYATO'S ROUTE!! I mean COME ON!! Didn't Morikawa Hikaru get enough spotlight in the drama cd's?? ~_~ *cough*Needz moar Reiji-sama*cough* That being said, I don't mean the friggin douche from the game but the Do S Gentleman from the drama CD's! D:< Anyways, happy the anime is airing, too bad it's so short though and hope ppl will enjoy Diabolik Lovers as much as I did/do~ But man.. after listening to all the drama cd's /radio specials, finishing the game and watching this first ep i kinda feel empty... I guess it's time to finally read the Anthologies and prequel/sequels.. even though it's just mostly repeats~ D: Ah, also looking forward to the second game~ |

| well, first of all yui gets a plus point because after ayato attacked her, she actually ran to the other guy and asked for help. it bothered me that she was just lying there and let ayato lick her, but i guess she was just completely surprised and shocked. she also wanted to leave immediately when she realized that these guys are weird and she tried to run away. i can't say i've seen that happening very often these days. usually the heroines just start to stutter "wh-what... but-but i... no, stop, i... n-no..." please let this be a reverse harem without a stupid, naive and submissive girl. i can't take these kind of harems anymore ;__; (i guess she won't start throwing punches and turn into a badass vampire hunter, but to actually see some rejection is already more than i see in most harem, so i hope for that.) the character design is nice. the guys look really good. i also enjoyed the voice acting (hello, yuki kaji! i didn't even know he speaks one of the guys. wow, that's a very great surprise!). i'm just a bit disappointed every episode has only 15 minutes :/ well, i would rather watch an anime that's short, but everything's planned out well instead of seeing a lot of filler. so hopefully it'll be good anyway. and i haven't played the game, so i don't know what will happen, but i already heard the game's really dark and sadistic. i don't have any problem if the guys trying to bite her (vampires, duh), but i'm a bit worried that they'll add rape scenes and that's something i can't deal with. as weird as it sounds, but i can deal with torture and blood and gore, but rape would be too much. unfortunately i don't even see a rating, so i don't know how dark it'll get... tl;dr: really interesting start because it was different. i still have no idea what to expect and how dark this anime will get, but that makes it even more interesting. |
| Well right off the bat they started trying to feed on her. I only care about who is that other Lady on the other side of the window. A mystery, love it. So far the characters are ok, the youngest one is annoying though, if he is annoyed by her then can't he just go somewhere else, like he follows her just to be complaining..but I hope his character will grow. character designs are great as well, voice acting great. I was very excited for this series, can't wait for more! |

| I didn't have a lot of expectations from it, but I can say that I actually enjoyed it. Actually enjoy is a pretty strong word, it was just an ok episode so far. I mean, it actually keeps going with the game storyline so far and it kind of happened a lot in only one episode. Compared to the other animes that have a heroine with a few potential boyfriends, this actually was good. Not the S&M part, though. I was afraid that the heroine will be dumb and couldn't defend herself, but I was wrong. So yeah, I can say that I like the heroine. About the brothers though. Well, I can't say much cause they need to be just how they were in the game. Super psycho idiots. And they are. Which I can't say if it's a good thing or a bad thing. It's a good thing cause in a way it keeps up with the game and it's a bad thing cause... yeah, you already know why. Last thing I'm gonna say is that I love Yui's voice! |

| I already strongly dislike half of these characters. But that may be better than feeling nothing at all towards them. Good job, I guess? Not sure how the heroine will come to love some of those bastards, though. Except if she's a masochist. |

It might be because i'm not a fan of shoujo anime in the first place, and as much as i do like production IG, i wasn't a fan of the animation or the way their hair was coloured. I was really surprised to see it was done by IG. ... but i'll prob give it 1 or 2 more episodes chance since i quite like a few of the seiyuus. |

| I originally was not even thinking of watching this, but I took the chance. It's not too bad, love the art and the main chick is pretty damn cute. Well, for 15 minutes, this is a keeper for me... for now, at least. We'll see how this goes. |

But you can't expect casual fans to know about this. How did they know about Rejet? I KNOW it's supposed to be this way but I find it completely understandable that many people are turned off by this. They probably won't get used to it. That's why so many are dropping it by the first episode. I think what causes all these negative comments and hate towards this anime is because most people assume DIABOLIK LOVERS started off as an Otome Game. I agree that almost all otome game's I know of aren't this extreme, heck they are almost always fluffy typical stuff. What people don't know ( as it's unfortunatly not mentioned much..) is that the Otome Game itself is an adaption of the drama CD's, wich in my opinion, makes a huge difference. Also to the people who are like: "Omaigodz, what is this SM stuff" "Omaigod, what kind of rape is that" "The licking part was disturbing!" ... What part of "SADISTIC VAMPIRE" combined with "REVERSED HAREM" don't you understand? I really dislike people who don't pay attention to these things and then rate the series badly, comment about how much they hated it or write bad reviews.. =_= It's very rude.. |

| Yes, wow, this board. I am astonished by the amount of times "rape" or "rapist" were mentioned in this thread. I am under the impression that most, if not all, of those who labeled the show as "rapefest" don't have the slightest clue of what VAMPIRE means. They suck blood off people. People usually aren't very inclined to allow that without putting a fight, so said vampires force their way. Surprising, I know. Would you guys label Twilight characters as rapists? lmao fricking dracula, the biggest rapist of all time, who'd guess that I think it's not until far into the story that there's actual sexual abuse of some kind. VAMPIRES LICK AND BITE AND SUCK BLOOD OFF PEOPLE, it's not supposed to be sexy, you're not supposed to like it. It's supposed to be revolting and disgusting that they'd treat her like that. This isn't comedy or your typical shoujo story about falling in love. It's basically a story about a bunch of miserable people and their miserable lives together. Or maybe no story should be allowed to have issues? It's all happiness and sunshine, always. Come on, damn it. |

How is disliking something considered rude? By what I've seen most of the negative comments have been pretty polite, even the example you have given - "The licking part was disturbing!". You cannot know how exactly the show is going to be just from the synopsis. And maybe some of them were curious even after reading it, so they gave it a shot. The fact that they didn't like it and decided to leave a comment explaining why doesn't make them in any way rude, they just have a different opinion. Everyone has the right to comment, rate and write reviews, no matter if they are positive or not. Yeah, maybe it's a bit early to judge since we're only 1 episode in, but you still can't blame anybody for not liking it. If I've misunderstood what you were saying, I'm sorry. |
