| So they're using CGI for full-body scenes with some actions and monsters. Then use traditional animation for other scenes not involving the prior. I read the manga so I'm mostly just curious how the story goes since I don't have time to read the LN. Also, I like the anime character art style more than the manga. Closer to the LN I guess? |

| I will give this 3 episodes. But I really did not like it. Mimori classmates are mostly irredeemable jerks. I want them all to die. |
| I'm probably going to like it overall. As a fan of the genre. However those CGI monsters really took a blow out of the production value. Otherwise no real complaints. |

| Well, my first thoughts when I watched this first episode was that it reminded me a lot of "My Instant Death Ability is So Overpowered..." from earlier this year including having a school bus full of students being summoned, the summoner being a bitch, and most of the students being arrogant jerks. I'll admit that the blonde elf girl was a reason I decided to watch this plus now I'm curious how Touka will fight his way out of his predicament. |
| Hmm... another goddess that pretends to be good but is actually evil... lol And also another weakest hero being send off to another place to be killed off... And also the supposed "main romantic target" is knocked down and everyone thinks the MC is pretty much "dead". . (The above 3 are overused tropes of Dramatic Isekai setting) . Tho I guess it's not as bad as previous series that have awkward moments at the start... (such as rape, segging lolis or major slavery) This one actually seems pretty normal setting. (child abuse and abandonment are more normal and common than the other ones, in our world at least) . Also, we got a peek at naked sexy elf, hmm... LOL |

| What a bunch of scumbag schoolmates Touka had to put up with, and let's not get started with that awful goddess. At least a couple of the girls seemed like decent people, especially Sogou. I wonder if that poison skill can kill those monsters he is facing? Looking forward to watching the next episode. |

Yea well this ain’t gonna win over anyone who doesn’t like power fantasy stories or isekai that’s for sure. First episode as generic as they come for edgy revenge fantasy stories, but I’m in luck because that’s just what I like.
As someone who’s been wanting to read failure frame for two years now because of the first volume’s art on the cover, this was the exact type of edgy shit I wanted. Feels like Arifureta with better character art and CGI that’s just as ass ๐ Seven Arcs ruined Mato seihei with it and it looks like it’s happening here, but the story set up was cool for me and I love the standard art style, it’s got a really shiny texture that’s appealing to me.
First of all, everyone in this story besides Sogou and the MC can die. Even who I assume was his mother from the flashback scene. Like imagine sitting on the couch while someone beats your son and you do nothing but watch tv. Then he can’t even escape the shit at school because of assholes there and even in a fantasy world where losers get harems and OP abilities, he’s made into a de facto cour jester and mocked by everyone.
I knew the goddess was sus with how she was smiling and acting like this wasn’t the first time she’d summoned students/people from earth, but she surpassed my wildest expectations. Can’t wait to see my boy have his Hajime esque arc and come back to get revenge on everyone, including his classmates who when faced with the proposition of one of their own being sent to die in a dungeon, just wanted it down quickly so they could get back on with their lives. ๐คข

| @Marinate1016 No mention of the skinny dipping elf babe? You feeling okay? There's a lot about this episode that shall we say sort of rhymes with other isekai, but I still enjoyed it. Probably helps I haven't actually seen most of the others named in this thread besides Shield Hero so a revenge angle doesn't feel completely worn out to me. How (almost) everyone treated Touka felt over the top and just amped up to manipulate the viewer, and it worked. I want to see him get back at those bastards and especially shut up that loud, obnoxious razor-toothed student. Hopefully he doesn't go and do something stupid like grow as a person and find something else in life beyond revenge. The big chink in the armor for me were the goofy ass monster designs. I was hoping they might be one offs for the ruins but from the ED I have to put up with that the entire season. I didn't know it was possible to make a minotaur completely lame, but here we are. Have to see how the premise plays out but it's got my interest so far. |

| typical generic isekai plotline and it's done by seven arcs on top of that... expectations are vey low. some of the scenes looked alright so maybe it's not a complete loss |
| It's captivating enough. The first episode does the cliffhanger pretty well despite the viewers already knowing he'll survive. It doesn't do anything unqiue, and the cg is undoubtably really bad, but writing gets the audience just infruiated enough with the godess and classmates to want to at least watch until the mc gets his "revenge". I give this a "godess is hot, would bang"/10  |

| Pretty generic first episode but it might become a guilty pleasure for me like Arifureta was. Always down for a revenge plot with an edgy MC. |
