For light novel readers, can anyone confirm if the Murder Clown was even mentioned before this? Seems like the kind of thing that someone should've overheard in a tavern or something, because otherwise it just feels a little out of left field. Like, supposedly Nadia was the champion but "now there's someone even stronger!"

When Naofumi's group is not fighting in the Coliseum they teleport back to the village because there's a lot of work there (defending against bandit attacks, leveling up the kids, gathering food and cooking). So Naofumi doesn't have the chance to go around town and talk in taverns to gather information. S'yne wasn't supposed to participate in this tournament, she was brought in because Sadeena betrayed her sponsor and he wouldn't accept the financial loss she cost him. The anime cut this out, but after winning the exhibition match the sponsor still didn't give up. He tried to steal the kids Sadeena had already rescued. |

Raphtalia is a racoon and tanuki mix demi human. Shigaraki is a town in Japan that's famous for its pottery and tanuki statues. Naofumi is very bad with naming stuff and wanted Filo's alias to be yakitori (grilled chicken) at first. |

| Time to buy some slaves again, and Naofumi is looking at one white tiger beastfolk by the name of Fohl to "buy him" and his gravely injured sister Atla. But of course, Naofumi won't let them get away for free, and with an Elixir of Yggdrasil drug, it heals her and both white tiger beastfolk reunites them with Sadeena and the Lurolona Village slaves. As expected, Atla reovers bit by bit, and Fohl feels relieved that his blind sister could at least walk a bit. With the demi-human village in trouble, both Fohl and Atla are not spared, but Naofumi and gang were fast to respond to the danger, which their assailants were from one of the countries that serve the Three Heroes, which he dealt them the transportation to Siltvelt to be sold as slaves. But as expected, the Staff Hero was surprised to see her, and even more for Queen Melromarc, that this Luge Lansarz Faubrey was once heroic, but abandoned his nation. Ooh, the Spear Hero has been located, how will the operation to catch him go? |

| It's not that I dislike this genre but... to add unnecessary fan services to/in/for heroines and ultimately destroys her character and personality; their purity tarnished because of it, is the only thing I hope to not happen to them. For that sole purity is my fan service. |

| Ok, the fighting was cool between our team and Nadia, and then later with the Clown Murder and the rest of them. Now, I'm really confused about the concept of Demi-humans, because since when Demi-humans could transform into animals? Wasn't that Filo's concept (and she isn't a Demi-human). And are we supposed to know from where Raphtalia knows Sadeena? She's apparentaly a Demi-human, so maybe she's also from Raphtalia's land, but once again, weren't demi-humans more like Rapthtalia and the other tiger kid? I'm so confused with this now. It seems a lot of the confusing parts of this season is just because the 2nd season cut a lot of stuff (who would have guessed), so I'll cut this season some slack from that. Also, that Clown Murder seems to be one of the vassal heroes, since he was using a scissor. It seems next episode is going to focus on the tiger siblings, as they will probably will end up on Naofumi's party. It's kinda funny Naofumi doesn't have a single male team mate, so maybe that will end in the next episodes. But I still find it weird they decided to create a whole new character to add to Naofumi's party, instead of using already existing ones, like Raphtalia's friend, that is already strong enough to train the other slaves, but never got the opportunity to enter the party (also, shouldn't he be looking older by now, considering he should be leveling up? It didn't take long for Raphtalia). Either way, I'm curious to see how this season will go, because the direction seems quite better than the 2nd season, and the animation is also better. Let's just hope they don't rush through the story again. Also, the ending is reall good, Chiai Fujikawa never fails with the endings! But I feel like this one actually differs a bit from the other 3, and maybe will become one of my favorites from the anime. Wasn't a fan of the artstyle for the ending though... |
| actually more solid than I thought, the action part was especially enjoyable and the op song was pretty cool too. The relationship and plot building are well done, 7/10 for now and hoping for the better. The transitions are especially smooth, maybe the screw up in s2 was just someone in the team being xxx... |
