| Its kinda sad seeing Retro realise he lost to that one guy because he isn't good enough and also Chihaya kinda wasted her own school trip by worrying about the Queen qualifiers. From what we've seen so far of Suo he seems like an intersting character with some nice sweets as gifts. |

It would just be a chain of suffering if it wasn't for arata cleary reciprocating chihaya's feelings. But if taichi would just forget about chihaya for one second and look at sumire i wouldn't be mad. |

| Took a break from this show for a while, but I came back on an amazing episode. I found the tension between the 3 main characters relatable, believable, and quite engaging. All the competing motivations swirling around everyone made for a heady emotional cocktail! I still think Chihayafuru struggles mightily with introducing its opponent characters, though. Suo is just fake, and I had some trouble believing the way he was written. I have very little faith that Taichi's opponent will be any better-written. |
| I feel bad for Retro. "What if I'm not good at this game that I love so much?" 🥺 Props to Sumire for standing up to Taichi's mom. That wasn't an eaay feat at all. |
