Freezing Rosario to Vampire Sora no Otoshimono (These were my first thoughts, turns out you've watched at least some of the anime of all of these so you probably won't want to read them.) | Looking for something completed under 40 chapters. Something that tackles themes of loneliness, love, family. Anything, could even be a coming of age. I want to feel like I got something out of it, that's the main thing I'm looking for, open to any genre really. As long as you feel it made an actual impact on you as a person then I'd be willing to give it a try. Kind of an odd request I guess since impact will differ from person to person :P I want something more than just light nothing-better-to-do entertainment though ;o |

Others are less fitting: Karin, Hakoiri Devil Princess (demons instead of vampires), Seto no Hanayome (mermaids here) @ Vexper Haruka na Machi e, My girl, Koe no Katachi (64 chapters but they are short), Seizon, Kagen no Tsuki, My Heart is Beating, and slightly longer ones - Saishuu Heiki Kanojo (72 chapters), Aku no Hana (58 chpaters), Kokou no Hito (long but short chapters and fits well) |

| hey, can someone recommend a manga that it's similar to Shamo? it's about fighting, but i'm more interested in darker atmospheres, where the protagonist is an antihero. In shamo the protagonist has a very evil, he killed his parents, he rapes, he fights with unfair methods, he doesn't have hope and his inner self falls apart. Is there something that has similarities to shamo? I doesn't have to be a fighting manga and it can include nsfw. The darker the better! |

Had my eye on Shamo but never really got a chance to read it, sounds pretty good though from how you describe it and now it's finished I met get around to it :P Going from recommendations from what I would recommend and what is recommended for Shamo you have already read most of them. The only three that you didn't have on your list were Blade of the Immortal, MPD Psycho and Until Death Do Us Part. |

| Anyone feel like recommending a manga? Got a few days off and thought I might check out some new ones. Last two I read were Dorohedoro (Loved this one) and Magi (Which I found surprisingly good). Looking for anything that fits into action/romance/horror genres really. Not so much slice of life/comedy. Length and ongoing/completed status doesn't matter to me. |

Rain - If you want to read some overpowered MC, this and Nobless (korean manga with lots of kidnapping repetition and never seem to go forward beyond that) will delivered. Tower of God - A bit slow paced but it's getting better as you go. and you should probably consider One Piece. If action and adventure you want, it's more or less on par with hunter. @vinroy Not quite sure what you are looking for. |
