I've loved every Kaiji gamble so far, but honestly this one is so fucking stupid. The way Kaiji rigged the machine legitimitely makes no sense. How the fuck was he able to, for 3 days straight; stay in the room of the casino directly above the staff room with nobody noticing? Like, Ichijou makes a point to state how they have camera's everywhere; yet conveniently the one room Kaiji can use for his plan doesn't? Complete PIS.

Secondly, even if he did rig parts of the machine, how the fuck did he replace them with no one seeing? Ichijou knows literally all of the maintenence workers on the bog, and Kaiji never had any oppurtunity to swap the pieces with no one noticing.

It sucks, cause every single solution he came up with before this was so brilliantly done, but this is just a complete asspull. There's absolutely no way Kaiji could have done this. Also doesn't help that this is the longest arc so far.

@Dicklesworth I must agree with that bit, how did Kaiji get in contact with the company that replaces and builds the machine parts? Even if he managed to get some kroons for that, to me it sounds like Ichijou had a stricter relationship with his builders than that. Think about it, the old man got himself built a replica, and it was just a double agent, now to think someone would change the parts of the bog itself? That sounds harder to achieve. It feels like either it was completely impossible to do or just not explained. It is something that I feel it happened in Initial D as well, the first arcs were solid tight like a fucking rock, the immersion is immaculate and things feel so real you can almost touch them, but then as the stakes get higher and higher its hard to make things precise, so you see things start to stretch a bit in probabilities.

But still, while I feel that there are now some leaps of logic used, I like that the show is still following its immaculate principle, never rely on chance, and do all battles, battles of wit, so it will still make it interesting to me.
