| Watched it in fast forward like half of the serie. Terrible pacing, just terrible. The pachinko arc is terrible for a lot of different reasons. All the games Kaiji played in until now always included some kind of cheating but using the strength of his mind, Kaiji's managed to overcome terrible obstacles. This was what made the other (quite simple) games so intresting: those mind games (they were also quite short). But the bog? What's the skill in the bog arc? Kaiji tilted a building with water, managed to put fake parts into it, moved the forest of pins. Of camera. Those were obviously not the main show. No: that was kaiji screaming and crying for about half of the serie as he simply watched balls falling down. How much thunderclaps, mad narration, crazy directing (with this camera following the balls everywhere) can save such a boring premise? Litterally NOTHING happened in the pachinko arc, they just played the same machine for a couple of times in order to grasp a vague possibility. This is probably the biggest insult: Kaiji didn't mature at all. He was a loser that lost in the past because he thought that praying was a good idea (which costed him four fingers) and he is a loser now. The only difference is that he is protect by some of the most ludicrous plot haxes I've ever seen in my whole life. Terrible, just terrible. And I thought the Chinchirorin arc was slow. |

| i cant believe people are calling this the worst arc ever. yea ill admit it was longer than it shouldv been but it was so intense each ep which made up for the length imo. i loved it. This , rewatching first season now seems godlike , makes this look like shit. |
| The end of this episode was brilliant. Finally he won and the appearance of Sakazaki was epic. All in all it was a great episode. But I have to agree that the first season, especially the second Arc, was better than this season. The thrill in the first season was outstanding. |

I liked the first arc of this season pretty much but the bog arc is just too dragging and a little boring to me since I love mind games and the bog doesn't really have that kind of "let's predict what's going to happen next and change the plan accordingly" aspect. But yeah, one more episode to go... |

All the build up was perfect, the pacing was amazing. I really felt like i was in the crowd during the show. It really pulled me in. I wish there was a s3. Earlier on in the series Kaiji said how you have to be careful signing a contract with Endou, but when Kaiji needed to borrow extra money from him, he hastily signed the new contract and rushed off afterwards without properly looking at it. Seemed fishy to me. Aslo, personally I think this arc has been great. Though that's probably down to me being able to marathon most of it. Sure, it's reeeeally dragged out, but damn is it entertaining. |
| I Agree that season 1 was more profound and better paced, but the sheer intensity and anxiousness i felt from the bog is indescribable, that's what made it special, yes it was simple, but at the same time it was nerve-wracking, as it was in the manga |
| Personally, i marathoned this series and it wasn't even half bad. I can see how it would be bad if you waited a week for another slow episode but this season made me as tense and glued as season 1. IMO, season 1 = season 2. |

| You know what? This was actually how I was thinking he was gonna win! I thought about it way before the air trick tough. I thought there was some impossible tilt near the hole or something but I guessed the push right. I didn't actually expect it to happen since it's super ridiculous but... Anyway, like the rest, good to see the suspense end. I watched both seasons in like 1-2 days each so I wasn't annoyed as much as you about the drag but yeah it was dragged. I wouldn't wanna be following it weekly. Lastly, Hyoudou strikes again. The guy is a total sick bastard. "Deal with him" LOL. |
