there's clubs at my school
just don't know how many xD;; ?
well, for some odd reason I think this year we had our first anime club
:I ...odd, yet interesting, well Its fun to go somedays then other days not very much since some members have arguments about stuff...
and some just play cards, while others talk about anime, and how to get money to go to a anime convention (lol, so far we only have 11$ xD;; something I guess, something)

There's a bunch of clubs in the college I go to, but I haven't given any thought to joining one or visiting to see what it's like. Apparently there's an anime club but I don't know anything about it. Back in high school I didn't join any clubs.
Here's my activity for high school:
Clubs: 0
Extracurricular activities: 0
School events: 0

My little sister is in high school and she's the president of the martial arts club. But being a high school martial arts club in the US there's no dojo room or anything. They just take a bunch of mats and lie them on the floor and practice.

I wasn't very involved in HS either. It became a problem when all I had to rely on for applying for colleges was my grades. Stupid extracirrics.

That is why I joined my school's anti smoking club, just to put it on my college application xP My high school sucked when it came to having clubs. It was either that, or join the Yoga Club (and the Yoga Club only lasted a semester because the teacher didn't even do anything).

Did a bunch of sports during freshman/sophomore year, but I quit doing all that this year because I knew I was gonna be busy as hell with schoolwork. I'm part of Latin Club, Interact Club (community service), and Drama Club (I just help with the plays though) this year.

I should have done something like community service but I still got into the school I wanted so I guess it ended okay. Looking back though I think sports were fun but they really aren't as important as people seem to think. I could have been more productive without them and exercised on my own and still have been in as good as shape.

Swedish High-Schools demand that you pick a program and a focus and then all the classes and everything about your education is based on that focus.

So musicians like me pick the Aesthetical Program with Music as a focus (as opposed to Art or Theatre) while some people go for Hotel & Restaurant if you want to be a chef, Building if you want to be a carpenter or something, Trade and Administration, Sports, Media and Photography, Industrial, Children and Preschools, Electrical program, Energy program, Natural Science, Vehicles which is sort of like mechanic school if you want to build cars and airplanes, Tech program which is for future engineers, and the Care program for people who want to work as nurses or with elderly care etc.

So we don't get any clubs but we are required to take a lot of individual initiative in our focus fields.
Things like math and history are just regular classes, but for the rest they expect us to do most of the work.

When I was in high school in Phils, I joined Science and Math clubs to boost my grades. XD
Yeah you get extra credits for joining and it happened that my homeroom teacher is our Science teacher. It's like we're forced to join but it's really fun and worth it.
In my Junior and Senior years, I joined the Peer Facilitator's Club. It's like a community service club. All the clubs I joined were really active and there are a lot of field trips!

Now I'm in an adult high school and was forced to get a high school diploma here. I don't think there are clubs in my school now which makes school REALLY boring.
So basically, I'm in a "go-home" club. xD

But sometimes I want to experience high school in Japan.

There are 5 clubs at my high school I think, I don't belong to any of them, nor know of anyone who does.

I only know of Asian Club and Anime Club.

My School doesn´t have many , we only have : Guitar/Bass Club (only for People who are able to play already) , Audio Technology Club (Only for Members of Guitar/Bass Club), Karaoke Club (filled by fifth-graders , who sing Miley Cirus and Justin Bieber Songs the whole time) and thats it. We had an Archery Club , but it is only for fifth-graders and it already got closed because parents were angry about the "Militarism" on our school - so : I´m not in a Club , I were in the Archery Club , but that was maybe 5 or 6 years ago

I was in the Chess club and the Engineering club.

Oh, and the "gather your friends and play Warcraft III/DotA in the computer labs" club.

I used to be in an Asian Club until I decided to stop going. It was boring. I'm more of a "get on the bus then straight home" club.

Graduated a year or so ago; awkwardly enough, I was on the football team. Yes, an anime fan. Funny enough, I met my one other friend I made in high school, another anime fan on the football team.

No, we weren't the best on the team.
And he was better, anyways.

But there were clubs. When football season wasn't in action, I tried to join a few clubs, but they were usually... either very cliquey or no one really cared anyways. There was one that got involved in the community; it made money and stuff, but the thing is, there was really no one who was active and consistent with it.

Still, in college now (and sick to death and done with sports), I'm probably going to end up trying to join a club or two. At least the anime club. I'm not expecting a Genshiken, though. Just a dorky fun time to spend Friday Afternoons at.

I live in Australia. There's no club/extracurricular activities. Plus my school is one of the largest so we don't even get excursions.

I'm a member of my school's photography club, animal rescue club, and one of the volunteering clubs (I'm not really that active in any of them, though). Sometimes I think it'd be nice to start an anime club (there used to be one a few years back, but it was already gone by the time I arrived), but I'm still too wimpy to do it.

Meh, high school sucked. We had a games club? I don't really call it that since it had no funding nor was really recognized, we just brought a console and stole a CRT or something. Clubs to me are more of a college thing when the whole aspect of "what interests you" actually matters. I mean hell, I don't talk to anyone from my high school anymore really.

In retrospect, college clubs like my Anime Club actually work to get people to go to events and stuff, like say Anime Conventions.

Plus, most clubs I remember had something to do the community service...bleh. I don't miss high school at all.

My highschool didn't have any clubs, besides I was too busy studying and participating in English olympiads.

My university has lots of clubs but most of them are located in different buildings than where I take classes, and a vast majoraty of them seem like a chore.

Sadly, any and all clubs that existed in my school were for the single and only purpose of adding to your college application to make yourself look better. No club was there for interest or further development in an activity.
