If anything else, this show continues my belief that an empire has much greater scope for brilliance or ruin than a democracy that is limited to the middle. If you imagine a scale of 1-10 with 1 being horrendous and 10 being brilliant. Empire can range from 1-10 depending on The emperor/empress Republlic can range from 3-7 due to checks and balances. |
| democracy doesn't have much for checks and balances unless you're talking about bank accounts it's all smoke and mirrors at least in autocratic systems you know who's screwing you over or not. in the west we have no clue who actually runs the show and never will, but boy do we love the illusion of actually having a say. the number line idea you have is kind of arbitrary but i can respect where you're coming from on that. i think the whole thing is a false dichotomy anyways, but i really hate "democracy" with a passion. it's just like our product brands: 10,000 products but they're all subsidiaries of like 3 multinational corporations that lobby for regulating competition out of business. |

| yang is being pawn by both nations alliannce and empire, and he himself apart from freeing merkatz hasn't doing a thing. lol for the irony that he can't have peaceful lif. so kateroze is shcenkopp's daughter and that's why julian recognize her. ok... err, WHAT?!? how did he saw shcnenkopp with here? lol remembering julian though making me hope we will see julian next episode. the metaphoric scene of oberstein looking on lennekampt from above just fits fine with the story. lennekampt is no more than little soldier on his check board lol. |

| Oberstein showing some very unusual yet understandable methods of serving, his ideas still remain very interesting along with his loyalty and philosophy of military order. Yang getting arrested was a high point but also it felt like his arrest was a little bit pointless, stupid decisions from up above once again. So now it seems that the girl Julian might try to get his hands on is a daughter of damn Schenkopp himself, don't see how that can go any way shape or form bad |
