| I was not expecting Klen to be beat (even if its temporary) by Drel. In fact, I actually thought that Drel would've called back his wizards for assistance which would've saved Alicia and the rest of the gang's butts but instead they are on their own too. I imagine that if Klen cannot break out on his own he will telepathically communicate with Alicia to find a way to break him out once she figures out a way to escape from the wizards they're currently evading. |

When Drel started talking about his plan and his powers while doing the most generic binding spell out of nowhere just to immediately explain how it works I couldn't help but roll my eyes. Not to mention the big drop in animation quality. I bet Drel had more frames talking than actually fighting. |

| SOOO... Clevatess is a naive beast aye? Either that or its curiously is gonna get the better of the poor beast. Honestly was not expecting double twist with a small douse of curiosity. Although the curiosity I have is more so how the world they live in works. But It obbious that this is stemming from the lack of world expiration. But I think Im just an edit who cant understand how the old fart managed to seal the wolf in his own blood, yet lived? Does he have a contract with a dark beast as well or did he manage to defeat one? That Aside Clevatess is gonna be FIIINE... right? considering the hero is still around I will bet that so is Clevatess. The story isnt building as much suspensus but its building its mystery, world building, character dynamic, and power system to a tea. I dont know what to put my finger on to point out and say "ITS LACKING XYZ" because I am still enjoying it. Just not to level I was when the first-third episode came out. Maybe I was a pattern subconsoiusly and now I cant stop yawning everytime the suspense is building up. I will probably know when I see what the reveal is. I want to take a guess to build up suspencs on my end, its going to be a couple of guess 1. I think Clevatess will come back and will probably be weakened Clevatess, comes back only to be discovered by one the soilders. the ladies will probably be helped by the villagers. 2. Clevatess, comes back then kill the general and they end up having an all out battle the ladies will probably be helped by the villagers. Alright rating time. Plot: 8/10 I couldnt believe my eyes, that there were 10000 fire flies Theme: 3/10 I dont know what the theme was, Tbh this is freshly after I watched the episode. I will guess what the theme is. Dont underestimate people? idk Characters: 9/10 That bug gender ambiguous ladyboy made me question my realty. also Dont they look like Utena from Gushing over Magical Girls... they also act like them. Utena if seen from a third person perspective would look like ladyboy OST: meh/10 I dont know, there wasnt much this week epsiode Overall: 5/10 Not the best. but got to see through Anyway, I think I feel my yawningness going away... BYEEEE |

Oddly enough, I've been waiting impatiently for this episode all week, and I'm a little disappointed.
I feel like everything happened too quickly.
drel has a badass design but doesn't give off anything with his dialogues

| @Sveinn1 This is easily one of the BEST fantasy anime we've had in a while, so I must admit, my expectations are a bit beyond the roof here, but I just want more. Especially after that god-tier episode 1. Still, I think today's episode was great when zoomed out, and I love how the anime doesn't devolve into cringy shonen tropes, but there's just something about the way the plot is moving that just is...off to me. |

| The first part of the episode was a little awkward, I'm not sure why but the tavern fight and escape felt a little rushed with little tension - the female wizard is a nerd that explains her magic to opponents and proceeds to get beaten by a bed punching a hole through the roof lol, Alicia defeating the big worm off screen was lazy (why we didn't get a short fight scene?) and the flying bugs were just hovering there doing nothing, it all felt a little anticlimactic. The second part was great though, that battle scene on the river had some nice scope, it kinda reminded lord of the rings and when the large beasts were collapsing on ice I got some Legolas and mumakils vibe. Also Grel looks like a very promising villain - he has his own agenda and is motivated, but is not evil for the sole purpose of being evil. He's a nasty powerful motherfucker that's for sure, but he was respectful to his opponent and did not kill him, looks like he mostly cares about humanoids expanding their world, he is just ready to take any necessary steps to achieve that goal. It was surprising that Clevatess got got by his magic, but this should be good for the story overall since otherwise we would have gotten a broken overpowered protagonist which is never good. The darkbeast lord can be vulnerable and it will make things more interesting in the future. |

| @MegamiRem Like if your talking about some of them not being a fan of the hero's that was clearly demonstrated last episode. Like if you were in their shoes, would you risk your life, and your friends and families lives for someone your not a big fan off, if giving the choice to avoid fighting all together. |
| Ngl, the visual and animation are huge letdowns to the manga. Such a shame that it came from one of my Top 5 anime (incl. cour 2s) this season. |
