| I was scared of the animation quality drop people were complaining, then I watched episode 2. Although in some parts there was a quality drop, it wasn't all that bad as you guys made it look like. Overall, still an enjoyable episode, but this one was a bit inferior to the first animation-wise. About the pacing and chapters, I didn't read the manga to comment about it. |

| @kataneer "pupa level garbage" is the Deen anime for Junji Ito. You're spiraling out of control on your reaction, there was a quality drop but it wasn't that much of a deal and the scenes in which it happened are seconds long anyway. |
| welp, we getting a mashup and the animation was a downgrade. i remember the dude stuck on top of the tire was one of the freakiest parts in the manga for me though, most things in this series are just disgusting but that scene actually kinda freaked me out for some reason. |

| Apparently the second episode was made by another studio, which implies that the production condition for this anime is kinda like hell. It might be because I’m not a JUNJI Ito fan, but I don’t see why this anime took 5 years to make. (Not hating) |

| @fudish123 Yeah pretty much agree with everything you've said. I also haven't read the manga, but there is still clearly some pacing issues. There's just so many events happening in such quick succession with little room to breathe. At the same time, it kinda helps reinforce the intensity/chaos, but that felt more so the case with the first episode. Still an enjoyable episode overall. |

| I was so impressed by the first episode. I love the manga so loved the idea of them animating in a way that is respectful to the source material. But then… the drop in animation quality… so disappointing. |

| 3/5 because it's okay, for me. This is definitely well made and just personally... I don't know. I feel like I would be more scared if I was reading the mange. This is definitely very disturbing though. I was so scared for our hair girl, I'm glad our male protagonist has plot armor (thus far) and was able to save her. However did she die in that superheated oven? Poor girl I really wanted her to live longer :c That was what I was thinking to happen, the rapid and constant hair growth would have sapped all the bodies resources, that's why both of them looked so malnourished. The weight would also be a big problem. Snail and Snake porn. |

| The pacing is all over the place and the sequence of events is off. They are rushing through this narrative and without the buildup it just doesn't hit anywhere near the same. As for the animation, the backgrounds are consistently fantastic but the characters look off very often. |

I don't know what I just watched... it was so disgusting T___T I thought one of the snails was sucking the other snail, but it turns out they were mating... and there were a lot of eggs... and the teacher who destroyed the eggs also became a snail..... Then a couple who spiraled their bodies and tied each other up then became like snakes... augh... I was a bit surprised when Kirie also got Uzumaki symptoms but thankfully her boyfriend helped her!!! Okay but to be honest even though it was disgusting to me but I think this episode has its own charm because I didn't realize that the duration was a bit longer... still, I feel like I'm going to avoid looking at creepy crawlies for a while lol. |

| I knew people would end up let down by this show, i had doubts it could maintain the quality of the first episode. Glad I kept my expectations low, Junji Ito’s manga just dont adapt well. The hair staying still as the girls move around just didn’t look right, when you read the manga you imagine it always in motion. Its a shame, but still is best anime adaption of his work so far. If the next two episodes can be more in line with the quality of the first episode it will be ok, but this was definitely a step in the wrong direction. |
| Yea the animation was rough in this one. Not what you would expect after how long it took for this to get made, and the fact that it's only 4 episodes. Hope next episode looks better. |

| This ep was outsourced to another studio. Same techniques, but a clear drop in quality control. I hope the other episodes aren't outsourced as well |
