I guess I was maybe a bit apprehensive about checking out Yozakura Quartet since I'm not fond of ecchi and the very first thing I knew about it was the gif of Ao bending down to catch the keys and flashing her shimapan Looked it up and found out it was about youkai, so I gave the manga a go (after hearing that the adaptation was out of order and had two separate continuities) since I love youkai stuff. Naturally I loved the manga, so I watched the anime and loved it as well |

| One Piece, I avoided it for so many years because of the art style, now I don't think I would like to see it in any other art style, it just fits it. |
| Kill la Kill. The premise was such wtf that it was actually off putting for me. Then I just went, "ah what the hell..." and watched it anyway. It was surprisingly more fun than I expected and got hooked. Before that, it was Slice of Life anime in general. My gateway series to it was Hanasaku Iroha, mostly because I really liked the character design and thought to myself: "eh, I'll just drop it when it gets boring". And again, I got hooked. |

| DEATH NOTE, I used to ignore it back then, probably because of the bizarre title and the dark theme. But it's really interesting when you watch it, I found the "battle of wits" between L and Light very intriguing. (It's one of the best part of the series) |

| Fate, there are just so many stories and stuff and trying to find a watch order is hard because you get one and then get 10 people telling you to change stuff, not watch some and watch this other not that related stories instead.... but then I finally got a watch order that was easy to follow and started it, and the story is not bad, maybe some of the side ones get boring, but a fun watch overall |
| SNK. I watched the first half of season 1 while it was airing, but dropped it after. Only this year did I give it another go and ended up binging the entire thing in like a week. ^^; |

| You know how some anime just…don’t want you to watch them? You’ve heard they’re really good, from reliable sources. The premise sounds interesting. The artstyle is alright. You don’t have anything against the director or writer. But you just feel like you have to force yourself to start them. I experience this so often it’s almost embarassing. But then I watch them, and, usually, I love them! So I have way too many entries on my list that answer this question to even bother listing them. The latest one was probably Zankyou no Terror. It took me a year to start this anime, and, after I finally binged it, I wanted to punch myself in the stomach for waiting so long to do it. |
