| 20:05 - Although briefly mentioned, we now finally know that Koguma lives on scholarship money. I personally don't think Windshields look bad at all. I kinda feel bad for Shii getting so left out in conversations and stuff since she doesn't have a Cub herself. |

| Oh, this teacher is quite nice.. Helped them so much.. Shii quite like these girls, it seems.. I wonder, why.. Maybe there doesn't have to be reason.. But maybe something like that they were helpful and nice to her on the festival?.. Not sure.. It feels, though, that she's not regularly meets with them.. She kinda does.. But also they could spend more time together, like Koguma and Reiko do.. Like, I'm not too sure, if she is their friend at this point or not.. |
| I was annoyed by that person just walking up and taking the last windshield while the girls were standing right there looking at it. I've had people actually do that to me before in stores, it's so rude. Especially if it is the very last item. |

| Reiko wants more grappa in her cappucino! She likes that stuff! She may be a handful once she is legal to drink. All three of our girls are growing into smart, capable, independent young women, almost over the course of a single episode. This chapter highlights Shii's infatuation with her two new Cub-riding friends, and Shii for the first time seems to be wishing for a Cub of her own. Shii is desperate not to be a third wheel. And she shows her love for her friends by making them hot coffee and tea, and sacrificing her father's raw wool sweater to keep them warm. Although she wishes for snow to force her friends to seek the refuge of her warm cafe, it is Shii who provides the crucial push to encourage the girls to find a Cub with a windshield and give it a try. Reiko finally comes around to Koguma's position, retracting her insults about the windshields, saying, "If it works better, it's not ugly." Shii comes to the conclusion that Cubs "really are that good," and is obviously wanting to join her friends on a motorcycle. The episode ends with a curtain call for all the people who helped Koguma prepare for the winter, and Koguma is able to verbalize that turning to them for help had made her more comfortable with people in general. We see the light change and the warm colors of autumn fade into evening. Koguma is confidant that their winterized Cubs will not restrain them, but only lead to new opportunities. |
