| In order, starting with the best at top. 1. Sonic 3 & Knuckles As close to perfection as possible for a videogame. 2. Orcs Must Die! 1 Tower defence combined with third-person action, and lots of cartoony gore. 3. Minecraft Best $15 ever spent. A game only limited by your own imagination. Still manages to feel fresh and new every time I start a new world after a long break from it. 4. Pokémon Crystal (But could count almost any of the main games here.) It's Pokémon, what more explanation does it need? 5. Super Smash Bros. Melee A fighting game with lots of freedom of movement and where you don't have to memorise a dozen of button combinations. Yes, please. 6. Guild Wars 1 I'd favourite this game for the amazingly deep and interesting combat system alone. 7. The Legend of Dark Witch Small 2D action game with challenging gameplay and cute characters. 8. The Settlers 1 Old school strategy game with focus on building an economy and infrastructure, rather than just destroying the enemy base with a large army. 9. Doom (2016.) What you get when you take everything that made FPS in the 90's great and add modern features to improve upon it. 10. Skyrim How a game so buggy and broken can still be so much fun. The perfect RPG sandbox. |
