| for me the best way to reply to @Tom_Kosken post is: 1.haven't you watch comedy anime before,there aren't many of them that has deep plot 2.11 episodes is so little for this anime for the plot to grow in a comedy anime. 3.A MC that is so different from normal LN MC and have such personality has no character don't know what to say about that. 3.WN of the anime had already finish so I can ensure that the will definitely meet the demon lord just give it another 2 or 3 season for that to happen though. 4.you say about this game is about RPG and all but many people misconcept about this because KonoSuba is not part of the 'Trapped in Video game' trope like SAO or Log Horizon ,its part of the trope that is now a boom at Japan which is'reincarnated to a different world' so don't compare those animes. 5.The MC is successful because he use his wisdom to go through troubles that he faced if that is also OP for you then I don't know what kind of MC that is not OP. 6.don't know why you said this anime is boring when even after I already read the LN and know how the story goes, I can still laugh when I watch the anime and watch it again with sub although I already watch the raw Also about what you said this anime doesn't deserve 10/10 ratings that's just your opinion because it seems the rating here at MAL seems good to me |

| this because people are generalizing and throwing all the blame on the feminist and the women, when the vast majority of the criticism and complaints about KonoSuba and Kasuma, as well as the Aqua defenders are mostly made by men. women and feminists who make criticisms and complaints about animes, mangas, Visual Novels and Light Novels, do not come to 3% of the fan base of each of these shows. |

| The really sloppy animation and the frustatingly one-dimentional characters draws back the series a lot in my opinion, but stills enjoyable. It could be better, taking itself a bit seriusly from time to time. That doesn't seeem to be happeninng though. |

While its always nice to see a show giving more girls more screen time than guys it is bad when its done for the wrong reasons. If only the girls were treated with respect. At this rate I might as well just watch any generic hentai. Nobody can die in this show. Nobody can get hurt in this show. And nobody even cares about such things in this show. The whole Demon King or what not, is it even real? Show us something already don't just make passing verbal mentions. The most dangerou thing they fought up till now was lettuce! Add a lesser soul gem and a ball of yarn and we can go summon Sheogorath on a rainy day. And then it will rain burning dogs! That would be the first funny thing to happen in this show. Konosuba has no tension, no suspension, nothing. It literally puts me to sleep! I had to drink two large black coffees to make it through just one episode. The comedy which is supposed to be the focus is bland at best if any at all. Most of it is primitive. Then we got imature sex jokes targeted against girls. Or lame attempts to parody video game mechanics. All of which fail badly. Its over all just not funny. My stone cold face for the duration of the episodes is a permanent standing evidence of that. The wierd and straight up idiotic actions and reactions of the characters doesnt help. People should actually play an RPG. They would know that this idiocy is nothing like any actuall game. The only moment Konosuba had any reference to gaming was in ep.1 where they were setting their classes at that wierd thing that sh*ts out those tickets. Beyond that this has even less to do with RPGs than DanMachi or Grimgar. If you want RPG references look at Log Horizon. That is how you do anime about RPG. While I can still point out some flaws in that one too, nobody can argue that the RPG asepct in there is not good. At the end of the day this anime is only a parody of its self. Nothing about this show can be taken even a little bit seriously in any way. Turn off your brain before watching this or it will get hurt. Konosuba is a bad parody of a bad parody. The MC of Konosuba is nothing but a stupid perverted useles abusive little shut-in neet. He is spitefull and immature to boot. How can you like that guy? The argument that he is not op does not stand either. Look at the rest of the Konosuba cast, the MC is literaly the only person who is ever successful at anything and everything. Its as if the entire city is filled with useless incompetent idiots. You never see anyone other than him do anything. So the MC is indeed OP. Maybe not overpowered in the true sense of the word like that little edgy bit** Kirito from SAO. But being the only one with at least a shred of common sense in a city full of stupids is just the same. This goes double for any woman in this show. They should rename them to walking fanservice and waifu items. Lets not forget that the Steal ability in this anime is the end all be all of skills. Especially because the MC mostly fights or threatens girls and steals their panties. Of all things he always goes for the underwear. Wow real mature humor right there. The author was a grade schooler right? The 3 main heroines or rather harem members suck up to him and literally prostrate themself for him. Tell me after all this that Konosuba does not have male power fantasy and controll over girls in it. The only things any good in Konosuba are the audio and the art. Some may not like the art but I say its okay, there are worse. It can be nice in some frames but it can also be bad at others. Not the most detailed. But at least thank god its not another A1 Pictures crap. Audio simply gets a pass, it is not bad. Konosuba is average at best. IMO below average due to all the juvenile misogynistic, degrading and discriminatory bullshit. So take all those 10/10 and show em somewhere. This anime is no way deserving of the title of "anime of the season" or god preserve us "anime of the year". Seems like the author wanted to imitate SAO and Gate or something but he only took the worst elements of them. P.S. Some here seem to believe that because somebody thinks being an ass to girls, beating, bullying them, stealing their underwear and generally treating girls like shit is a very bad thing to do and is not funny in the slightest they must be feminists? Well shit, then I must be one too because I also find hurting girls in any way disgusting. Though I dont remember signing up at the local feminist recruiting center. Aqua's a dumb broad, the Crusader likes to be pounded, Megumin is loli of the season and Kazuma's a total stereotypical dick. But it's a fucking parody that is doing it's job well. ITS MOCKING STEREOTYPICAL CHARACTERS AND WE ARE ENTERTAINED BY IT. Deal with it. Don't watch if you don't want to. And no, a comic anime is not an affront to women's rights. | There are so many other things in the anime industry to take shots at. Konosub just levels the roles between the genders. Dudes still pretty much stuck with incompetent female characters. But the insulting is pretty warranted. If there is anything sexist about konosub it can easily be found in pretty much any anime. |

It's sexist because the author write it in sexist way. Example ( obvoiusly only up until this episode, since i dont know what kind of character will appear in future) Look at the main casts 3 girls 1 man, and all of those 3 girls are dumb. The Joke that is considered to be funny are mostly against women. mocks them and such. Example would be how author created dumb female characters so Kazuma can make fun of them. Why cant at least 1 of them be decent? Because it wouldnt be fun if they're not dumb? at the end of the day, the parody joke is nothing more than parody its own sexist joke. To add more this anime doesnt have anything in story nor in character. But i won't go further since the counter argument going to be just "It a comedy show". | If this anime is sexist then it's pretty tame. Male characters in ecchi harems get way more abused than these girls. So what if the mc lightly teases them or calls them names in a non hurtful way. That's nothing compared to male characters getting the shit beat out of them by violent tsundere bitches and being portrayed as perverted retards. I don't care about any of the characters but Aqua is the only female character that's really stupid. The loli and Darkness don't appear to be stupid. The characters at first do seem useless but they are actually better than Kazuma in certain areas. The loli and Aqua are better at magic and have more offensive abilities while Darkness is very good at defense. |

| This anime is a 5 or 6 at the most but that has nothing to do with sexism. It's nice having an anime for once where the guy isn't the one being pushed around and abused. People who think this show is sexist because the girls are 'abused' have obviously not seen Fight Ippatsu chan where the mc literally hits the main female characters with a baseball bat when he's pissed off. I haven't seen this kid in this anime hitting any of the girls. |

The rule of thumb for comedy is dumb characters, so viewers can laugh at their stupidity. People are saying its sexist because of the 3 dumb main females, but really all the characters are idiots. Look at Kazuma. Right in episode 1, he died in the dumbest way possible: white knighting and sacrificing his life to save a girl, when it was just a mistake. (Incidentally, Aqua telling him this and laughing her ass off is probably the reason why he no longer White Knights.) And throughout the show you continue to see him doing dumb things like wasting his one awesome item by choosing a goddess, and then immediately saying "You can go back" when Aqua complains (meaning he would end up truly itemless), doing manual labor for days instead of immediately recruiting companions for adventuring... Look at Mitsurugi: Underestimating his opponents, clearly no knowledge of the "Steal" skill despite being sent to this world way earlier, not noticing his sword was no longer with Kazuma, trying to recruit Kazuma's companions even though they clearly don't want to, typical denseness of not realizing his own companions are fighting over him... And the story will continue on like this, all the characters are dumb, male or female, because that's what makes it funny. P.S. EXPLOSION girl isn't actually dumb! There are a ton of RPGs where glass cannon wizards are awesome, and this is no exception. If anything, this show is sexist because the only awesome character is Megumin! (That's a joke of course, please don't take that seriously.) |

For example ,although megumin is an explosion loving character and a bit chuunibyou she actually have high intelligence as she can do a job like an arch wizard.darkness is a m person but she always though of protecting her teammates and sometimes can think straight. Yes just as you said they have their reason to act the way they are, but that doesnt make them look less dumb (it's probably not the right word but i guess you get what i mean) And that is the point, non of them is dumb but the show make them look dumb.
