It's not. People do things in different ways. There's no right way to watch anime.

-_- you cannot possibly tell me that anyone can enjoy a show the same as if they watched each episode individually. They are literally going to be missing out on everything that is happening in the episode that comes after the earliest you are watching. For example, watching episode 2 at the same time as episode 1 is worthless, because how the hell are you going to know what is going on? Then, you also ruin episode 1 at the same time, because its just going to spoil parts of what happened, or what is going to happen, taking away all of the suspense. Lets just watch episode 1 and 6 at the same time while we are at it...Like another person said, it would be more enjoyable to watch the entire series backwards than to watch it like this. Watching at 2x speed is the same outcome, but at least then its comprehensible.

It's almost like some people don't even enjoy anime and just want to speed through series just so they can say they've "watched it" and add it to their completed list. If you're not watching anime for your own enjoyment, you're doing it wrong.

I'm supporting both methods, split screen and faster speed. It's not up to you on the method on how another person wants to watch their chinese cartoons in. You can also watch anime "wrong" if you aren't in the mood to.

On the contrary though, I do think split screen for a story based anime is dumb because you're spoiling yourself. If you can do it for different shows or an episodic show, then it's okay.

Depends on how much you value the OST

Split screen is literally putting two audio together so I think that's worse

I watch a few shows up to 1.5x and I end up liking the show more than I would if I watched it in normal speed.
Also I do value ost, but most shows don't have exceptional osts. I usually listen to their ost cds outside of the anime, anyway.

Sure, people can and do a lot of dumb things like that. And I have all the right to make fun of them for that.

I wonder if there are people who only read every other word in books too.

I never said speeding it up was bad, i said watching multiple episodes at once was. I personally wouldnt speed up a show, but i can see how that wouldnt make the show bad or anything. Watching multiple episodes at once though is completely different.

Very important plus it will sound all chipmunky.

Two screens may add more noise but willl not inherently change either

Hell no
How am I supposed to focus on both of them at the sametime? I mean assuming I'm watching something that actually requires paying attention(as in not battle shounen)
Not to mention the sounds would overlap and that would be just annoying.
Then there's the fact the later ep would be a constant spoiler.

That is the dumbest type of multitasking. If you don't like an anime then you should drop it. Putting it on twice the speed might make it a bit hard to understand, but it's much better than trying to watch two episodes at the same time when one of them will likely make no sense considering that you haven't completed the episode before. There are some anime that are half filler so you could just skip the filler episodes and mark it as completed anyway.

I said "focus", that's different from just following what's going on. Having your attention divided between 2 screens makes it harder to pay attention to details.
If the anime isn't worth of giving it your full attention, then there's no point in watching it in the first place.

So yea you just worry about your own intelligence and brain capacity or the lack of thereof

I tend to watch Youtube videos like WWE and stuff while watching anime, but two anime nonetheless two different episodes from the same anime at once? Now that is stupid. Trust me, if really feel the need to do this you not only need to drop the anime BUT THE ENTIRE MEDIUM.

I just dont understand how you would think any of these ideas are good. Watching 2 shows at once? How are you going to enjoy or keep up with them? Watching 2 episodes of the same show is even worse though, due to the reasons i already stated. There is all but like 2 arguments you can use to prove watching on 2 screens is better.

It's fine if you're watching 2 different shows at once but episodes of the same show with a episode ahead of the other? I don't understand how that's anything but dumb.

As someone who pretty much always has his laptop out when playing on his consoles, I can play a game on one screen and watch an anime on another at the same time assuming the game isn't a very quick pace and requires more concentration.

I function very traditionally. One anime at a time at 1x speed. If not, I'm only doing it to rack up episodes to brag about it rather than trying to truly appreciate the experience.

Exactly, isnt the point to savor the anime? Watching more than 1 episode or anime at a time only makes you run out of anime quicker.

You can watch 25 episodes in about 10 minutes this way.
