A volume, in terms of manga, is one book of a related part of a series or a collection of multiple stories and/or one-shots that have been published together by a publisher in the same book.

A one-shot is just that, a simple one chapter of a story the author creates to gauge the audience's reaction towards his/her ideas. Unfortunately, even if we input 0 volumes in that field, it still remains a ? mark. Maybe in the future that will be rectified. But as things stand now, we will continue to mark one-shots with the ? mark in volumes because calling a simple chapter a volume is incorrect in the way we consider the term in relation to manga. The reason why some one-shot entries may contain the volume = 1 number is because we have yet to correct that entry.

If anything, maybe you can voice out your suggestion in the Suggestion Forums and see if you or other members can come up with a better idea that Xinil might take into consideration.

Also, I know it's a normal novel, but you had stuff like Paprika and No Longer Human in the DB, so I thought I would give it a try, but it looks like I have to wait until the author publishes a manga before it will get accepted.

People need to learn to read. Aarana didn't ask you to make a new thread for complaints and feedback about the guidelines for no reason. You're allowed to discuss the guidelines and disagree with us as much as you'd like, but this is not the place to do it.

Just so you know, this thread will be checked and if I find a post under this one that doesn't belong here, it will be removed without notice. I don't care how good your arguments are or if you find that unreasonable, as reading and following it is the least you can do.
