Surprisingly enjoyable series. First half was kind of "eh," there was just way too much "Oh, bad thing conveniently happens! Oh, but this character can conveniently solve the problem!" The biggest one that made me groan was on Vilavurs: Oh, Funi ran away and went on top of the bouncy tree which just so happened to extend really high up which just so happened to put her at risk with the bird creature, but oh good, Kanata just so happens to be a decathlon athlete so he can save her by jumping on conveniently spaced trees and using the conveniently left behind spear to javelin throw at the bird which conveniently nails the bird and then they get saved by Quitterie's conveniently activated parachute plants!

But thankfully the second half of the anime got A LOT more interesting once they finally decided to fully explore the relationships of everyone and focus more on the truth of the world. Although sometimes they really pushed it jumping to conclusions sometimes, like them figuring out the calendar got pushed back 100 years to remove and redo history. Like, that was a real stretch and they quickly accepted it as fact (maybe the manga delved on it more and this was just an anime problem, I don't know).

All that being said, I did really enjoy it. A lot of the plot twists were really well done, and the series wrapped everything up pretty dang nicely. I'm happy and content with it. A very solid 8/10 from me.
@Xionea They do call it out in one of the episodes where they mention that part of the charm is that its a gag anime
It's not meant to be ultra realistic

Altho, while I would normally agree with you that its bizarre and unrealistic that this random group of high schoolers are among the most elite in half a dozen fields...

We have to remember that its covered by the fact they were clones of the most elite of elite people
So, its not just a random coincidence that he's a decathlete and that Zack is an omega genius
In other words, the story was written well enough to cover the potential gaps and where it isn't its just playful

-- Edit, then again, there is an extreme amount of suspension of disbelief in accepting the background story, ie the asteroid, thousands of wormholes, massive changing of history, the fact they couldn't explain basic stuff like archeology anymore... So, the background story of the show is just so stupid that I think my brain just shut all of that stupid down.

On a side note Short Haired Quitterie is insanely hot.

This was recommended to me on tiktok for its mystery and did it deliver. From start to end this story was addicting. While the plot twists was intriguing the cast really kept me coming back everyday. Also props to having a good ending because they could’ve eneded the story the minute they landed but chose to give us more!

This anime is actually way better than I expected. A bit cheesy here and there but very good and interesting overall

Definitely cheesy at times but a good watch overall. I was pleasantly surprised that everyone on the crew made it. I went into the show blind and fully expected a downer ending.

Goddamn, I loved this. Could elaborate, but I basically loved everything about it, so there is not much point. I went in completely blind. In fact, I had never even heard of this series before yesterday. Primarily, because I missed all of 2019 anime seasonals. Still, this one should be a household name, imo. 9/10 and going into my top 20 favourites.

I always have a soft spot for space adventures, probably related to the seed that was planted by Star Blazers back in the day. So I would have watched it for that element alone. But this series delivered beyond expectations on character and story development.
