I watched the Harry Potter series like 2 years ago, and I was incredibly hooked!! I love fanatsy and magic themed stuff, and now knowing there's a Harry Potter-like anime, I'm excited! It's a fun touch that to show someone does magic is by having a mark on their face! Having someone with no magic but with superior strength must be an interesting life, I'm interested how he can go to school and pretend to have magic.
Mash's simple-minded-ness was too exaggerated, he couldn't even remember how to open a door. It seemed like he was retarded, it wasn't actually funny, and it seems like the show isn't really trying to have Mash genuinely as a retard. Other things seemed over-the-top as well, and if that's the show's comedy, it isn't working for me. I'm fine with over-the-top comedy, I quite enjoyed "the Legendary Hero is Dead", but Mashle is missing the mark so far.
This anime and MC is feeling sort of like "Cautious Hero", which wasn't that great but seemed better than this first episode so far. I do want to see the premise of a muscled MC running amuck in a Harry Potter school, but I hope this anime improves in the coming episodes.
Good episode, now I know why they said it was a mix between One Puch Man, Harry Potter and Black Clover although I don't know anything about the latter but it is noticeable about the other 2. It seems that apart from not having the gift of magic, he also does not have the gift of intelligence hahaha but his physical qualities are incredible
I like mash and his pops I can also respect his love for cream puffs. I really hope they stick to the premise of him not having any magic and just using his fist to beat up people as thats what hooked me in.
Bro it has been sooo long since I've watched a comedy-based anime that actually has sensical, nonsensical humor that isn't mostly based on screaming and overreacting characters. The action alongisde the comedy also makes the watch very worthwhile and I'll recommend this to anyone who is looking for a Harry Potter One Punch Man with laughs.
That was a first episode of a sausage fest if I've ever seen one. Comedy didn't hit at all for me so far, hopefully it gets better once he enters the magic school.
its like a mix between one punch man, iruma kun and saiki k. i love it lol. heard of this one for quite a bit but never really looked into it until now. the characters all look cute, love the humor in this show too
Not sure about how much i will be involved, but it isn't too long, it has italian dub and hopefully it can be more interesting that a certain famous film series about wizard and magic (saw all eight of them in just a week at the end of 2016 and even if they weren't bad i haven't turned into a fan of the series either)
Regro's flashbacks were like looking in a mirror. Oh, well, with the obvious exception that i never found an abandoned orphan and wouldn't be able to raise one to begin with. Mash could have obeyed and Regro (in hindsight it was obvious they weren't blood related) could have been clear why he didn't have to enter the city alone but whatever, it was nice to see how he rejected all those magic attacks. Noticed that Mash somehow looks similar to season 2 Futaro Uesugi from the Quintuplets and Regro has a great, great italian voice actor met in real life almost 5 years ago (also known for being the original Shredder from 1987 TMNT and Batman from the original animated series).
The episode was really captivating. Solid world building, an interesting set of starting important characters, and decent comedic moments. Did such a proper job of getting em excited for the next episode!
The thing that's nagging at me is how could he not position the door the right way despite being so old? Ik it's just a gag but still it's a poor one, lol.
Mash's power is just absurd. Maybe the reason he has super physical abilities is secretly, magic?
finally getting around to this, was reading the manga back when it first came out, can't remember exactly how far I got but probably pass where I was just in this season and I think there's two seasons of this out already. Hopefully it's an enjoyable watch! I remember liking the manga for the brief time I read it.
