@deg Oh yea, I completely forgot about porn is also a massive thing. Yes, I do think there's a correlation. I'm not a professional of any kind but I think alternated sexual activities getting really big is result of socializing and getting actual meaningful connection is getting harder and harder to form. And I'd like to believe that there's other genuine problem in other things than just those. It's not just that people are not able to find their partner but a lot of married couple are not getting children or not having a lot of children because taking care of children is getting so expensive and birth controls are easily accessible in a lot of developed country. It's not a simple problem and that's why a lot of western country this problem by just letting the immigrant in.

But please take it as a grain of salt, I'm mostly talking out of my ass here. I've seen some great video about this declining population things.

Seeing "Japan" and "overpopulation" in one sentence is bizarre, not gonna lie. If there's any problem to solve in Japan related to demographics, then it's its aging society and not high enough birthrate (and the latter thing is a major problem in many developed countries, be it in Asia or outside of it). What is more, works of art with lewd or even pornographic elements that we call these days as "ecchi" and "hentai" have been present in the Japanese culture for centuries, in various forms as well. They didn't affect its population in a significant way, they are not affecting it right now, and most likely won't affect the demographics of Japan in the future as well. These two elements are microscopic in the scope of a whole country's demographics. And we are talking about Japan, where lives over 125 million people.
