Anything below a 7 from first episode is perceived as mediocre at best by MAL standards. Not really "overrated" as you say

I'd say about 7.5 is considered decent around here. Its now below a 7, which is about par for the course for not so great shows. And functionally the minimum score is like 5, I mean how often do you see a show lower than that? Just think of the scores as being on a scale from 5 to 10. 5 is impossibly bad, 10 is impossibly good.

Why are people so quick to dismiss a new anime series? First episode only just aired today and it's already being called overrated.

It was a good episode! Immediately got action & it's as good as a first episode should be. Looks like it'll be a good anime.

And the sooner you realize your opinion is only meaningful or special to you, yourself alone, maybe you’ll take more time to enjoy whatever you want to, rather than bitch about things other people dig, and you don’t.

For some reason alot of people default to seven when a show is just okay. But who knows, maybe it was received well by a majority of the audience

What do you mean by MAL standards they literally labeled 7 as good and are you sure because I think it’s more of a problem that so many people are harsh with their scores instead of them being to nice
