Yep. This definitely seems like the dark horse of the season. I think a lot of us just didn't know what we were in for until we turned it on.

Kirino and I have a big thing in common and it's our taste in VNs, it's practically the same. She even had Sister Princess items in a medium sized box in the closet. I'll follow this to the end and hopefully there will be some incestious moments, but if not I'm content to having a female otaku that has good tastes.

after the reading the manga of this i somehow expected Kirino's voice to be different I don't mind who they use though.

That eroge scene at the end made me laugh more than it did in the manga

Anyone one else feel the relationship is more light hearted and comedic in the anime, and the manga it's actually kind of depressing? That's the feeling I got from reading the manga at first, she seems way more of a bitch.

In the anime she seems cute, but in the manga she reminds me of one of those kids who takes part in a beauty pageant..

Well color me surprised. This was actually really good.

I've not read the manga but if this diverts into some incest show I won't be happy, I quited liked the two as they were in this ep with utmost trust for each other without anything creepy.

This is one to be followed until the end for sure.

daisuki.......hontoni daisuki.......It's great...
It's kanon.Pachelbel's Kanon.
It repeats the same melody and crescendos gradually peacefully and beautifully!
It would be nice if life changed like that: slowly but surely. while being seemingly unchanged from day to day!

But as much as I like Asuza's voice it doesn't seem to fit...sounds too much like KugiRie

A bit early to pull the overated card don't you think? All we have are a bunch of initial reactions to a first episode. Heck, Code Geass seemed really badass in episode one. Now that it's over and everyone has distanced themselves from it the general opinion has leveled out.

art was pretty nice. Kyousuke Kousaka reminds me a lot of Tomoya Okazaki

The idea of the girl being the Otaku between the two appealed to me, and so far it's pretty good.

That's a game that I play sometimes. Whenever I read a synopsis for a show I like to try and end it with the phrase Hijinks ensue. It fits far too frequently.

Kenzou Tenma, a brilliant Japanese brain surgeon working in Germany, saves the life of a small boy who has been shot in the head. Little does he know that doing so would destroy his entire career at the hospital and that his fiancé would leave him. When the hospital director and doctors of the hospital staff are suddenly murdered, he gets a second chance but also renders him as the main suspect to the murders. Life goes on for Tenma as he saves people at the hospital, and he goes back to the joy of being a surgeon again.

Years later, an injured thief gets brought to the hospital. After Tenma saves his life, he finds out that the thief is involved with the rising count of serial murders happening in Germany. Suddenly Tenma is involved in it all when the little boy, who is now a young man, turns up and kills the thief in cold blood right in front of Tenma. Now Tenma must clear his name, find out more about the boy he saved in the past, and reevaluate what the value of life is. Hijinks ensue.

In the year 2015, the Angels, huge, tremendously powerful, alien war machines, appear in Tokyo for the second time. The only hope for Mankind's survival lies in the Evangelion, a humanoid fighting machine developed by NERV, a special United Nations agency. Capable of withstanding anything the Angels can dish out, the Evangelion's one drawback lies in the limited number of people able to pilot them. Only a handful of teenagers, all born fourteen years ago, nine months after the Angels first appeared, are able to interface with the Evangelion. One such teenager is Shinji Ikari, whose father heads the NERV team that developed and maintains the Evangelion. Thrust into a maelstrom of battle and events that he does not understand, Shinji is forced to plumb the depths of his own inner resources for the courage and strength to not only fight, but to survive, or risk losing everything. Hijinks ensue.

This is a story about three Adolfs. To add more confusion to his sadness, all information regarding his younger brother as a student in Germany have been erased systematically, as if he never existed. Meanwhile in Japan, a half-German, half-Japanese boy named Adolf Kauffmann and his best friend, a Jewish-German boy named Adolf Kamil, were accidentally involved in this incident. Their lives and fates are now inevitably interwoven around the biggest secret of the third Adolf - Adolf Hitler. Hijinks ensue.

One thing that I really do appreciate is that they haven't tried to push unrealistic body styles on us.

Kirino looks like a 14yo girl. Not like a 20yo that the series tells us is 14-15 (like Yoko from TTGL).

It lets me take the show more seriously.

I like this show because I can relate to the older brother. I live at home and I have a 13 year old sister and we don't get along at all. She really only talks to me when she wants something from me.

If I found out my sister has some kind of porn collection or worse, an anime porn collection, I would keep it a secret for her but would tell her she's fucked up. Lol.
