What is Your Favorite Anime Genre?
Poll should be more broad with the genres. I'm just gonna list out what I look for each season.
Shounen/School/Ecchi/Romance/Drama will often times just come bundled with the aforementioned on the list. Shounen refers more to the target demographic than any particular elements so it's a pretty useless indecator on it's own (too broad). School/Ecchi/Romance/Drama are generally paired with Harems but I generally avoid shows that are about pure romance or drama, and shows that are ecchi-fest with an all female cast (the harem element is where I generally find the comedy which is why I watch those shows. Ecchi by itself isn't interesting when there is hentai out there). |

| My top 4 favorite anime genres are: Romance Drama Comedy Slice of life I would only watch a sports genre anime if it's really really good like Free! This goes the same for action and psychological field. Frankly, i hate the historical genre because most of the time it just puts me to sleep lol i hate history. The only anime that i truly enjoy that has anything related to the historical genre is Inuyasha. Now that anime was the shit! |

| My favorite is easily drama, and graph.anime.sc agrees with that. Romance is an easy second, but I get sick of seeing the same thing over and over, there isn't enough variety. I'm looking forward to starting Ore Monogatari. |

| I don't really have a favorite genre, but lately I'm into sports anime and I have a lot of enjoyment from it. But I also really like sci-fi, fantasy, battle shonens, comedies and psychological. |

| Why are shounen and shoujo listed as genres? And when they are listed as genres, why are there no options for seinen/josei? Anyways, my favourite genres are probably thriller, mystery and adventure alongside with fantasy and sci-fi. Thriller: I like suspense atmosphere. the whole rest: I really love discovering things be it new lands, old or lost technologies/cities/magic, lost mysterious places/people/stories/legends, magical beings/places/spells/artifacts. I also love discovering puzzles and solving them. That ties perfectly with the above mentioned things, e.g. when discovering a magical sealed cave shrouded in mysterious stories or an old technology whose use/creation process has been lost. Aside from that I also really like psychological aspects and action in my shows. |

| Don't know what to pick... I used to watch only battle shounens and nothing else, but now i'm more into slice of life, comedy, school and romcoms. They are my favorite genres at the moment. I just want to watch some light plotless series for now. Tastes change, i guess... |
