That's only a childish misconception that they may pay very dearly afterwards, but it's certainly is an existing misconception, no doubt about it. | It's subjective at the end of the day, but I feel neutral towards it. A few years back a friend of mine started smoking because he said he wanted to look cool and for that reason everyone thought he was a tool. He stopped about a year ago. I smoke on occasion because I like the buzz it gives me, I'm not worried about how I come across to people. |

| Let people smoke if they want to most people should be aware of the risks and the damage that it can do. Same thing you can apply on many other things that people might overlook. Obviously some things are more dangerous than others but at the end of the day who really cares. I would say smoking in art is a good way to convey a certain vibe or trait of the character. Is it cool? Pretty much subjective. I usually see those characters as someone who has been through a lot or someone who is generelly a bit more apathetic or distant - maybe even depressed. In real life I see it differently. In the actual world we are less stereotypical and have all our own specific reasons why we do the things that we do. |
