I'm watching it subbed but I tried dubbed for a few minutes and I'm debating whether to switch to dub bc it seemed funnier. On a serious note, is he a schizo? If he hasn't gone outside in 3 almost 4 years, how does he have beer and cigs? Overall, I hate that some of this was relatable. The whole walking outside and thinking about how everyone is staring at you was a little too real. I mean, I know no one gives a fuck about me but still. |

| I don't know why I decided to watch this... it feels a bit trippy... although I'm glad I watched it now because I can laugh at the jokes, if I had watched it a few years ago I might have been triggered lol. One thing I'm curious about is, he's a NEET, right? He's a NEET, and he lives alone. So how does he buy cigarettes, alcohol and food for the day if he has no income? |

| Hikikomori. a.k.a. severe social withdrawal, a Japanese term used to refer to total withdrawal from society and seeking extreme degrees of social isolation and confinement. MC over here is the prime example of one as such ofc. Going into this I thought the N.H.K part of the title was going to be referring to the Japanese channel, not the Japanese Hikikomori Association lol. Fine enough start for now. Btw, you can tell that author was a NEET himself, because only NEETs have to rehearse simple lines like asking for a job interview xD |
