| So much CGI Kaido, but Kaido's speech giving more despair to the remaining survivors. Thank goodness Marco saved Nami from being obliterated by Kaido's Blast Breath. Also that CP0 guy must have already been brutally slaughtered by Kaido as nothing has been heard about him ever again. While the fights aren't particularly impressive in this episode, they've been saving up the hype for the last minutes of this episode. Gave me chills listening to the DRUMS OF LIBERATION as well as Zunesha proclaiming that after 800 long years, Joyboy....HAS RETURNED! Luffy's smile at the end though! THAT SMILE! I can't contain my excitement anymore for what's to come, and watching that preview had me hyped to the max while also tearing up because of what I saw! ;_; One more week of waiting to finally witness the miracle! |

| The first thing I did after waking up today morning was watch this peak...Those emotions were beautiful and last 2 mins gave me pure goosebumps i expected him to say GEAR 5 as in manga but ig they won't be giving us anything related to it till their announced date AUGUST 6 This time really..I CAN'T WAIT😭  |

| So, I know manga readers are going to be a bit upset about the quality of this episode but let’s set that aside for now and focus on the ending which is what people really were waiting for. TOEI is saving there budget clearly for the next 4-5 episodes anyways, so some sacrifices have to be made in order to give us PEAK!! So, it’s finally happened. At long last, the secret has been revealed and luffy is undergoing some sort of metamorphoses which seems to imply him being Joyboy. Now without any context of future story lines, there are some interesting things to point out in this episode if you pay attention. The smile is not indicative of luffy's normal smile, which seems to suggest that something else is causing this rare occurrence, probably most notably resembles the will of D. Also, a hard pill to swallow here, but Luffy did basically die here. His heart actually stopped. It’s probably more equivalent to cardiac arrest, but if it wasn't for this unknown phenomenon that is happening within luffy, he seriously would have been truly dead. This is by far the closest this man has ever come to actual death in the series. Now history will be made next week and I am not exaggerating when I say this is probably one of the greatest moments in the entire series coming up. |

Without surprise Kaido is mad at CP0 for ruining his fight, and was going to kill him anyway, knowing how he killed the old lady from before who had interrupted his fight between Oden. But of course it was too good to be true, from no-recaps, when we get a re-cap later on in this episode. The CGI Kaido's cape is the most unappealing, they re-used the same shot 3 times with still image crowds. And especially the fact that from last episode, they went out with the quality. I love my clean and pure 100% hybrid free Yamato <3. Yamato clearly saved this episode WOAH?! WHat is that DRUM at the end?! Why's Luffy all smokey? Why did his hair turn some kind of fluff?! WHAT?! Alright scratch everything I said about the quality, pretty much the last 3 minutes, Yamato's speech with Momonosuke, and the first few minutes of the episode were great.  Here we go folks, let's get dancing. Bang those drums!!!!!! Switch to hybrid form and go crazy, ITS TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

| I had to laugh when Kaido said "this is boring", because he was exactly right; we had to endure the same old dragging out of scenes just to waste time and the anime extended the scene where Luffy deflated for some reason. The rest of the episode was equally bad; way too much of ugly-ass CGI Kaido and then the last 3 minutes went on forever; we didn't need all that tension just to have a predictable cliffhanger ffs. |

| Never seen a source spoil one of its biggest reveal as much as Toei have. Another episode where the last 3 minutes make up for it; drums were solid tho, hopefully next week delivers with gear5. Can already tell the OP fanbase is about to become even more obnoxious. Also hard to say what's worse, CGI Kaido or the close up stills. |
