| Well, more than anything, the animation was absolutely stunning. I've seen all of Shinkai's films, and this one definitely rivals them. I wasn’t familiar with this studio or their previous work, but they completely blew me away with the detail in every scene. The voice acting was also spot-on, especially the guy, considering it was his first role. I really enjoyed the story too. It wasn’t overly romantic or sweet to the point of being saccharine, though I do appreciate anime like that. The plot was well-written, the animation and voice acting were solid. Songs did feel out of place and forced because they wanted to be like a Shinkai film, but other than that, my only wish is that it had been a bit longer. In conclusion though, fuck the guys dad. |

| call me a contrarian but didn't anzu become a total pedo? like kaoru was still underage by the time he got back from the cave. romantically loving people younger than 18 isn't only illegal but also immoral yet she even had the gall to kiss him when the age difference was way out of the acceptable norms. she should be behind bars instead of exploiting the immature innocence of a teenage boy. i don't care about their circumstances. just because she's hot, doesn't mean she can get a free pass. if it were me, i'd do the right thing and move on. some food for thought as i'm ending with a casual micdrop. |

| A tunnel that grants your wish in exchange for your lifespan is such an awesome concept. It was cool seeing Anzu and Kaoru develop a close camaraderie as they deciphered how the tunnel worked. The scene at the beginning with Anzu decking Koharu went viral and made for a good reason to check the movie out. I'm glad that I did. I also thought that scene with Kaoru having a breakdown with his father dropping bombshell after bombshell of a lifestyle change was done well. The ending says to me that things will be okay as long as Anzu and Kaoru have each other. I very much like that message. |

| I was kind of expecting a masterpiece and it didn't deliver. However, I still find this movie to be good, especially the animation and voice acting, but the premise itself left a lot to be desired. I think I'm gonna read the novel, especially since it's short but man, there should've been an epilogue showing how Kaoru adapted to the modern day after thirteen years. |

I really wanna smack that idiot. You can't get over your sister's death and try to bring her back by giving up your time in the end you didn't do that also waste others time. This kind of idiot and coward are just sorrow of mankind. I never wish happy ending for this kind of idiot

| Really a nice anime. When they add time-travel and romance together it always comes out like this- A little confusing, sometimes characters making few mistakes not thinking the consequences; sure. Overall I enjoyed watching it. Really takes me back to "Your Name" where Mc had to go in the cave to meet her in real time, but Your name is still the masterpiece. The downsides of this anime were - voice acting: some of the expressions were out of sync especially the running ones, pacing: the pacing was very fast and also a lil out of sync animation was decent, story was not half bad, theme that they came up with a tunnel was also impressive (not new since taken from Urashima Taro but impressive) how they applied it This anime was enjoyable to watch. Would recommend |

| Well , this movie could have been truly great if they don't deal with family issue so lightly and only focus on love relationship. Basically all the friends are side-lined, making these side characters' appearance near pointless (which is not the case in manga). Mc's dad being the weirdest character in the whole show. One scene they're showing he's a total douche , another scene he becomes a truly caring father after that one week disappearance. And then later on he turns into a total asshole again and completely vanish from the show afterward. The character writing of this dad really is the worst part of the show. They should either keep him like a total douche-bag from beginning to end or give him a redemption arc afterward, not this half ass change of personality every time he showed up and then completely disappeared. As the main antagonist of the show and the source of mc's sorrow, his dad is given too little screentime/ plot. |
