| ”Up until yesterday, I didn’t have anything. But... starting today, I have my Cub.” Surprisingly my favourite anime of the season so far! Love the simplicity of the story. There’s something quite nice about the pacing of the story. Not much happens, but there’s a beauty to its simplicity. Reminds me of Yesterday so Utatte in that aspect, the calm/silence at times really highlights the tone of the series. The VA fits the role perfectly, it’s impressive that it’s her debut! Really well done by the production staff as well— nice music choice... I enjoyed the bits of classical, the gorgeous art, the sound design, and then the change in colour design when Koguma finds some colour in her ‘monochrome world’. Absolutely beautiful, I love these kind of stories. I feel myself rooting for good things to happen to her as I watch through the episode. No complaints so far, looking forward to more. Definitely a gem of this season! |

| Yo this was so good! We must protecc Koguma's smile, her smile is so precious. Now this, this is a worthy show to fill the void Yuru Camp left in my heart. The visual and sound design was so good, I love how the show suddenly gains color depending on what Koguma was feeling. The lack of music at the beginning really helped show the somber atmosphere, and then when the music finally kicked in was beautiful. I will look forward to Koguma gaining friends. I love the depressingly comfy atmosphere, though as we go on, hopefully it's just comfy. |

| That was probably one of my favourite opening episodes to a slice of life series ever. Going without OST for long stretches of the episode, as well as barely having Koguma speak at all (discounting her opening monologue, she doesn't say a word for the first 6 and a half minutes of the episode) is an incredibly bold move to start a series like this with, but it immediately and effectively conveys how empty Koguma's life is until she gets the Cub. Then, having the colour palette brighten for just a moment as she gets on it for the first time and then remain bright as she's riding it demonstrates just how much this means for her. In other words, through colour palette and OST (or, more often than not, the lack thereof) alone, this show has gotten me 100% invested in Koguma and I just want to see her smile more and more going forward; we get a few this episode, and each one feels so, so rewarding already. The only complaint I could really lodge at this is how awkward the CG biking looks and that the cuts between the CG wide shots and drawn close-ups is kind of jarring, but it is understandable that it would be easier to do the movement in CG than in traditional animation. An excellent episode, and I'm very excited to keep up with this show for the season. |

| I hate it. Probably the most this season, because it felt just very off, when i watched it. And a friend showed me the manga and i know exactly why i hate it. The manga has different expressions of the girl, hell even the old guy at the station has different expressions, while they like defined suffering in the Anime.  |

But then just go listen to some dumb ASMR thing on YouTube if that's your bag. God only knows how they stretch this out to an entire season. Usually these kinds of shows are just vehicles for "cute girls doing nothing," but this one seems to be much more focused on selling Honda motorcycles… by looking at shots of landscapes. Not the strangest advertisement for a motor vehicle I've ever seen, but I doubt the most effective. Watching characters do something you also enjoy doing while learning things you also had to learn at one point. <- that's why people aside from the usual SOL crowd will likely enjoy it there are 2 problems with your theory 1.-she doesn't do things that I enjoyv 2.-I have never bought a motorcycle and learned to use it |

| it's been a while since I watched top quality SoL and this was so good it made me tear up by the end of the episode, definitely going to be one of my fav shows of this season |
| This episode was very cute. Koguma's life gets some colors after the bike's purchasing. The changing of her personality is interesting to see. This is an anime focused more on landscapes and actions than on words. The first time she speaks is in around the 5-minutes mark, but even with less words the story is entertaining in its own way. Can't wait for the next episode. |

| I did not expect to watch this anime but after I saw it turned out to be pretty good too, and the moment when she had a new bike reminded me of the first time I had a bike and couldn't wait to ride it for the next day, Koguma its pretty cute tho |

| Art was very good. Relaxing show, similar to Non non biyori, but with a much sadder tone, considering how she has no parents and is alone and stuff. This may well be my hidden gem of the season! |
