Shingeki no Kyojin, One Punch Man, Tokyo Ghoul, Code Geass, and Boku no Hero Academia, and Gintama are all too high.

Mahou Shoujo Site is wayyyy too low. Should at least have a 8.00 meta score on here.

i agree on hunter x hunter and i can see what you mean 'bout jojo but bunny girl senpai no, the reason it is popular was because of how much of a surprise it was everyone thought (including me) that is was gonna be a way to add "plot" into the anime cheesily but it turned out to be a mix of onegairu and monogatari and it's been so good so far

lol the end... but thanks. u're not the first one telling me about the fact that's properly paced, i'm not even surprised anymore and that the romance is realistic, not too much of a fantasy likely relationship which doesn't make sense.

For me HSG it's not just a romantic comedy, but a commentary, albeit simplistic, on the impact of the videogame medium and especially the arcade culture on society. Maybe, though I grew up with videogames and only noticed when Haruo said that. If you don't like the anime itself I don't know if that point of view might save it for you, since it's pretty standard romcom and I thought it was entertaining as well from the start, but it certainly made it all the more special for me.

In regards to actual series, the largest difference is No Game No Life, which is my least favorite anime.

Violet Evergarden - Rated far too highly IMO. First half of it is a strange mix of bored to tears and vaguely interesting.
Spice & Wolf II - Again, too highly rated. The magic of the first season isn't there and the shows structure makes for drawn out, boring episodes.
Attack on Titan - I love it and I don't care what you think about it and it should be rated as a goddamn masterpiece. It's better than all the greats, even Pingu in the City and Cory in the House.

Majority of the rating issues come from the fact damn near everybody uses a different scale. Some people don't rate below 5, others give the best shows they've ever seen 9's instead of 10's, etc. Nobody has the same system and it skews the aggregate scores in weird ways.

To add my list is sora yori basho and jojo part 5. First is show some promise but its has a underwhelming ending i didnt feel the emotion. The latter is overhyped by fans and i know that its unfair to other series.

Seiren is way too low, yes i'm biased by omnibus anime, fight me. It should be around 8.5

Ill go for Gintama for overrated anime, im not saying Gintama is bad but that around-9-rated for almost its series really bother me.

Other series are:
One Outs, Seishun buta yarou, Clannad, some of Monogatari series that actually not that great and just sky-rocketed because the franchise (Tsukimonogatari and 2nd season of Owarimonogatari)

I just feel like 26 episodes is a bit excessive for a comedy series purely running off over the top gags.
