Tvtropes' Determinator page will surely have a lot of examples. Also, don't forget that it's Kirito's avatar that got his HP bar to 0. Kirito himself is still lying in a hospital, far away from any swords. So "human" argument doesn't apply. P.S. I still think Kirito is a cyber-telepath. You must be referring to Tohsaka Tokiomi, their asshole father who gave Sakura away to the Matous. Kariya is a Matou who isn't an asshole. |

| Characters that are hated for being "stupid". Usually this is an awful reason to hate character because usually they arent actually stupid. I dont actually know a lot of characters specifically that people universally dislike but there are some characters that get a lot of love and hate like Izaya Orihara. |

Most of today's generation of anime fans who watched EVA almost always hate on this stupid Shinji because of him being a rather pathetic main character, and they prefer generic shounen protagonists or those bland self-insert super-perfect characters. He may be pathetic, but he's designed as a more realistic character with his conflicts, emotions, interactions, and stuff. Shinji being a realistic character makes us viewers can relate with him on several things in real life. Hey, at least he could man up and got in the @#$%ing robot, unlike a certain character who grew red tentacles from his butt to fight with. |

Also, quite recently in this season, many people seem to have disliked Chidori from Kiznaiver for being a basic selfish bitch...I didn't particularly hated her for it and I liked her development into realizing her own problems and start trying to change... |
