Well, this was a weird beginning of the 4th season.
Even for Dr. Stone, this episode was really random. The whole poker game came out of nowhere, and was the main focus of the episode. It was interesting, but it felt like a OVA honestly.

Anyways, the episode was entertaining nonetheless, but we barely moved with the plot. Not sure what's going to happen next.
The new opening is fitting for the season, due to it's influence from USA's musicality, but it's not really my cup of tea. The ending was also on the weaker side too, but Dr. Stone was never really an anime that surprised me in terms of openings or endings, so it's just like the other seasons. I wonder why the ending focus so much on Gen. Is going to happen to him in this episode?

I suppose many people must be hyped about this season, because it has been quite a while since the release of the 2nd part of season 3, but I just finished the 3rd season like 2 weeks ago, so I'm still used to Dr. Stone, and this episode wasn't particular one of the best ones.

It turns out that the argument between Ryuusui and Senkuu was fake to make the boat crew agree to make the trip in 40 days ahaha it doesn't surprise me from Senkuu, and now they have a casino and even alcohol on the boat

Oh. I completely missed this one premiering...

We're about to enter the endgame for Dr. Stone! which may last a while depending on the pace they set, but I'm all up for it.

Based on their calculations, the location of Why-Man (the enemy) was on the moon—that's why they are going to the moon. So, the first step, of course they have to collect a lot of material from all over the world, starting from America. If Columbus sailed with the Santa Maria, they sailed to America with the "Perseus".

The show starts with a fun introduction, but then we get to the real task—reaching America to get corn before winter starts.

A fun game between Senkuu and Ryuusui takes place, with Senkuu emerging victorious. As per the winner’s demand, the crew will take the shortest route, cutting the journey to America down to 40 days instead of 70.

And Kohaku looks absolutely stunning in that dress! 🔥

Man, the OP is an absolute banger! ALI dropped a funky one in time for the voyage to America! Although to be fair, the visuals were certainly flashy, it wasn't as cool as the earlier ones, but the music in and of itself is superb! The ED follows along the casino theme, but it's aight... The OP is the one that made me hyped, especially finally seeing the upcoming characters finally appearing in the anime, hooo man, Get excited!

The transpacific voyage has begun, and Senku prioritises a shorter path the long-term goal to achieve a long-term goal, whereas Ryusui prioritises a more pragmatic path to achieve a more realistic target. Quicker but harder vs Longer but easier. If this were just a trip to America, Ryusui would be the one to follow, but in the Store World, where the logistics of a modern globalised society have yet to be re-established. Their voyage is a race against time, so Senku is the clear and obvious go-to here.

And thus came to one of my favourite chapters during the global expedition adventure, the reintroduction of GAMBLING and ALCOHOL.
Lmaooo, probably two of the most negative entertainment outlets. Though it's funny, this time the big decision was made by a game of poker. Senku and Kohaku got the brain and the yes, whereas Ryusui and Gen really only have Gen's manipulation tricks. Ryusui doesn't have any tricks up his sleeve on this one aside from his desire to build the casino. It's over before they even begin, W for Senku!

I know the reasons, but I would've preferred if the characters in Dr.Stone constantly changed their outfits instead of sticking with those drab clothes. I mean, Yuzuriha managed to stitch up those slick suits for the guys and an absolutely dazzling dress for Kohaku, but then they revert to sheepskin, stained leather and dyed tunics? Nahhhh. That aside Kohaku's portrayal in this dress is breathtaking, I didn't realise her dress was yellow from the manga. This might be the sexiest and most alluring Kohaku outfit ever, it got the iconic hairstyle but with the womanly charm accentuated by modern tailoring!

Although I am late, this season is the reason why I begun watching the Dr.Stone anime from S1 despite already reading the entire manga. I didn't expect the anime adaptation would keep going for this far when I made a self promise to start watching the anime once; the Science Kingdom are traveling to America.

While I understand the logic of setting up this drama to motivate the crew to work harder, and it was fun to see a battle of wits among the team, the plot writing was a bit too cheesy for me. Felt more like a fan-idea episode than authentic to the show. Also, Tsukasa should have objected to the set up of gambling
