Other anime series moved me more, shook me to the core and have stayed internalized to this day. For me it's 7/10, maybe 8 if you've never watched similar narrative before. |

So what was the best fantasy anime of the season? I dont even remember if I watched a fantasy one besides Frieren.
I also wanna say that using random german words for names and places is soooo cringe. I have no problem against a couple sick german names like in AOT, but every name and place in Frieren is a random german word. Some characters aren even named as adjectives. A big turn off for me, while I was watching.👎
Edit: I dont know anything about social medias, cause I dont have any of them. Social media users can go suck. Its gonna make them even dumber than they already are in future.
| @Ripperdoc This goes to Dungeon Meshi - an uninteresting premise turned into a work in which you actually feel the effort put into building its fantasy world and the characters layers uncovered along with it, while never losing the sense of fun and discovery. Of course, that's "just my opinion". But reminder one has a fair score of 8.60 while the other holds a cosmic 0.25 above everything else, even though it has heavy flaws like its terrible identity crisis and is largely supported by blatant lies ("there's no sexual fanservice!") and exaggerated descriptions of its positive aspects. Search for Mass Formation btw. Something I'm glad you're apparently shielded from. PS.: I do agree Frieren is a solidly decent show. |

| It is the most impeccably executed anime of all time. There is a single thing that I would consider "bad" about the anime and that is literally a side character that tries to kill Frieren in the last episode. You can't say that about any other anime. FMAB has a horrible filler episode at the beginning that spoils late game reveals and the first 11 episodes are executed quite poorly as a result of speed running material covered in 03 for instance. It's my personal favorite, but there are plenty of anime that can be more resonant than Frieren to other people and still have flaws that other people will focus on more. Hell, I'd personally say the Wandering Witch light novels, which are riddled with innumerable flaws, resonate more with me. Being executed so well though, Frieren just gets a ten from most because there isn't a case for it to be rated lower (unless you're the kind of person who rates purely on subjective levels which some do). |

| Not my favorite but I see and acknowledge why other people value Frieren in such favorable light. I gave it 8/10 as it's very good in operating on an introductory-level as despite it being 28 episodes it's still noticeable how the tale has just begun and that it has immense potential to reach even greater heights in many aspects. Basically it already has elements and ingredients to attain masterpiece-level on an overall scale but it's a bit too early to give it such status in my estimation as some plot-related matters haven't been fully expressed just yet given that it's only a single season. Either way looking forward to whenever the next season comes around. |

| No, but it's an absolute 10/10 and it deserves all the love it can get. If future seasons manage to be at least as good as S1, it has the potential to become my top #3 favorite show of all time. |
| Is ANY anime the greatest anime of all time? By what metric? Context matters. A really good burger when you're full isn't going to taste as good as a mediocre one when you're starving. That crepe stand by the Seine where you ordered hand in hand with your love will forever hold a special place. And then there's that anime that kicked you in your feels when you weren't expecting it. I enjoyed it. I gave it 10/10 because it deserves it. It's obvious a metric crap-ton of effort and talent went into it. I can't think of any other recent anime series I'd also give a 10/10, and I'm not about to measure it against things I've watched long ago, nor do I really want to go back and re-watch those for comparison only to tint those memories with sh*t colored glasses. |
