Can anyone come up with just about damn anything? The old dude with an ability based on frames per second??? They make it sound like it's so easy to setup an ability like that. And if that's the case, why doesn't everyone learn each other's abilities? Idk I don't really get it, might just be me. That's probably one thing I prefer about the powers in One Piece vs Jujutsu or Naruto. Like you eat a devil fruit and you get given a unique ability, it's not inconsistently self-taught with everyone getting random OP powers [rant over sorry lol] Great ep! |

| I don't normally complain about chatty narrators but I'm really annoyed by the one being used this season. I don't know if it's the voice or if she's talking too much or what, but it's getting on my nerves. I have mixed feelings about this episode. I really liked the first fight conceptually, and the second fight was kind of interesting visually, but it's yet another episode of fighting. I know that's a big part of the appeal of JJK and honestly I didn't enjoy the first season and 0 because of their shallow stories, but at least they had SOME story in between all the fighting. This season started off with some cool stuff like the Mechamaru betrayal/trap and then the Gojou trap, but ever since then it's just been one fight scene after another and honestly I'm kind of bored. |

| Mei Mei's battle against the cursed spirit was pretty cool. Ui Ui simps for her too much still, but he was prepared to put his life on the line so that Mei Mei's plan would work against the spirit. With that thing defeated, they can both take on Geto, where I can only expect that fight to be much tougher on them both. The fight against the octopus cursed spirit was also a challenging one. While Nanami and Maki did what they could, I was rather impressed with how Naobito fought the enemy. His technique was pretty cool, especially how it was explained, although the octopus using his domain expansion did make the fighter much tougher. Megumi arriving to provide back-up gave the trio a fighting chance to win the battle, but Toji appeared unexpectedly, which makes for a good cliffhanger to end on. Animation-wise, it was a mixed bag. Mei Mei's fight had some nice looking close-ups, but the other fight had issues. Sometimes, the animation cuts looked great, but other times, it was very choppy and rushed. No wonder that the production schedules are looking worrisome going by what other users have posted about the episode director ranting on social media about it. =( I can only hope that the quality does improve, but I won't be surprised if a future episode or two will have this issue being mentioned again. |
