I'm a 26yo happily married woman that watches this series without any kind of embarassement or whatsoever. I read the manga too.

I like how they decided to make an anime adaption of such a truly peculiar product that talks about brothels but isn't labeled as hentai (japanese bruh). One thing that I really liked about the series (manga for now) was how they depict the females having different bodies, different
shapes and how (some of them) even pay to be there.

I kind of understand why there's a lack of "female reviewers" but I don't find it an issue in this series

Every girl im seeing in this forum is bashing this anime, the meme that girls don't watch p0rn/hentia isn't a meme afterall?

Of course I do, but ... look, funimation said it didn't meet their standards and it didn't meet mine either, but for other reasons. I only accept highly well-written / drawn erotic with beautiful aesthetics and a sense of connection and actual sensual feelings.
I'm also more into adultish-looking women and good-looking guys too, not in your generic art style-anime girls with big puppy eyes.
I'm something like, you know, an erotic elitist, I have to admit.
No really, I find the artworks or styles in most sexual anime stuff just incredibly unappealing.
And it's a joke too, so don't rant at me for that.

I think a big appeal of it for many guys is that prostituation is considered as a taboo and one joke one of the series is that they actually make a borderline-hentai about sex workers. But as long as it's not forced and they like to do that job, it's just that: a job. One I don't understand why you would like to do it, but still. So I don't see anything funny in the premise as well, to begin with.

I tried watching this show for maybe 4-5 episodes, realized there wasn't going to be any variety in storytelling even when they attempted to experience things from a female perspective, and dropped it. It's pretty raunchy and gross at times, but in general I don't know what the fuss is about. It's certainly not 9.04 worthy, and it's going to be embarrassing looking back this year and seeing how many people lost it over a run of the mill ecchi show.

31 year old married woman feminist who works with babies and I think this show is funny. I appreciate the monster girl designs and the sex worker positivity the show provides. I also really love the barmaid who really won't put up with the boys' crap for even half a second.

I'm also of the mind that violence is far more detrimental than sex, especially when the sex is 100% consensual.

I have only watched episode one, however.

You gotta be kidding me. The only way this show probably disappoints girls is that there is no female Reviewer, and the POV is male. But there are women of all shapes, sizes, color and age presented in the show without discrimination, which is a big win.

So objectifying women is okay because the show is inclusive ? As a woman, I will never f€cking watch this garbage of a show because there is no important message whatsoever behind the scenario apart from “men can f€ck whoever they want and women are just objects of their desire and can be used whenever the man wants”. It’s not because this show is inclusive that it makes it okay to objectify women and treat them as if they were just some kind of sextoy for the personal use of the MC. On what planet do you live? Honestly. Any idiot would understand that this show gives a bad image of women and presents them as mere objects that a man can use whenever he desires. Don’t you think it’s revolting ?

Whatever floats your boat. Stop watching the show (You gave it a 1 already) and I'll suggest you not to waste time hating stuff (and writing so much about it) for a losing cause. And you insult women by saying that depicting their sexuality is objectifying them. Then I'll probably could say the same: "Oh no! This trash show depicts men as horndogs, perverts and losers!" Bad image of woman? Even a king candidate here is a female, ; the only sane character is a respectable maid who owns the biggest bar of the town.
This show celebrates sexual freedom of both men and women. Next time, if you want to get a 'message' from an anime, better watch something mainstream, not a hentai parody fully intended for entertainment.
"All truth is meaningless. In the end, 'meaning' comes from the mind of each individual human. Even when there is a single truth, it can mean different things to different individuals. The truth has no meaning in itself!" - Erika Furudo

Well, I'm educated enough to know that sex working or being a porn actress etc, by free will, is just a normal job and doing service providing in sexual ways instead of doing service providing jobs like I dunno... selling something, being a hairdresser etc, is not that different, and I have the same respect for them like everyone else.
And if they are not forced being there, they can refuse to sleep with some of their clients.
Also there are some female clients for male sex workers too, not that many of course, but that is absolutely a thing that exists and it's nothing to revolt about.
And they say "if you love doing something and you are good at it, don't do it for free." ;) Again, don't you guys rant at me for a mere joke

The eye-rolling part is the reviewing them, but it's a parody and I guessed they did that to be extra corny and attract extra attention from social medias to their anime. I mean, it absolutely worked, everyone from every side of the political spectrum went crazy over it and played so much into the favor of the show by giving it such an incredibly shitload of attention.
There is nothing interesting to see, well.

Reviewing prostitutes happens irl too. Here it's funny because it's their full-time job, sometimes they get weird requests, like for political interest to help a certain species in a political campaign.

It got attention because of how lewd it is, the creators wanted to challenge Japanese obscenity laws. Funimation dropping it caused the shitstorm, before that only brainlets like @Hinanimes made a fuss (probably a troll anyway). There are male prostitutes too but it's not a yaoi so it's not focusing on them.

It is just ecchi fantasy omedy with original worldbuilding and characters, not a parody.

Don’t you think you’re overreacting a bit? Calling people on the internet prejudiced and uneducated is a bit over the top just because they don’t necessarily agree with your view point.

Reviewers doesn’t objectify women. If you want to take that route, there are plenty of other anime that do that, such as the countless number of harem anime that have come out in the past two decades. The girls in the brothels aren’t looked down on, instead they are celebrated. There are both male and female prostitutes and there was even a gender bender episode.

The show is just good fun. You already gave it a 1. Complaining gets you nowhere.

It is a parody of the Isekai genre as a whole. Kinda like Konosuba only cranked up to 11. I'm sorry that a cartoon comedy can offend your sensibilities so badly that you can't see this.

The ecchi genre of anime is a significant % of the medium in general. Japan doesn't cater to SJW's so don't expect it to go away any time soon. The Japanese red cross recently removed a "waifu" mascot from thier blood drive ads due to sjw pressure. Guess what happened? The turnout for the drive plummeted and they couldn't reach their minimum goal. So they brought her (the cartoon) back. In this instance the sjw agenda may have cost actual lives.

As far as "challenging Japanese obscenity laws", you might wanna look into that. This was originally simulcast on 6 Japanese TV stations in prime time. (Only one backed off due to sjw backlash). Japan is starting to reconsider and change those obscenity laws due to the birth rate crisis. They are bringing more sexualy suggestive content into the mainstream in an attempt to get their young people to start having babies.

There are population analysts that say if the current birth rate continues the Japanese economy will collapse by 2050 which will have a global effect.

I doubt that there are many real girls that enjoy this.
I watched 5 episodes of it and it's completely overrated.
It's mostly episodic and it follows the same formula, it's basically the same thing over and over again with a different color of paint.
None of the characters are interesting, and since the plot is non existent there is nothing for me to care about.
I'm not a fan of cartoony art style, also I will never understand the appeal of girls who's boobs are bigger than their heads it just looks goofy and disturbing at the same time.
This should've been a hentai and not an anime since the fanservice is the only thing this show has to offer and in my opinion it's not even that good.

Fanboys of this anime in the nutshell LoL

Listen here, pleb. Where do I say I'm offended? And don't come at me with that sjw bullshit, the world is more complex. Funimation and Tokyo MX didn't drop it for ''sjw'' reasons. Maybe learn to read slowly and don't get offended haha.

How is this isekai parody? Care to elaborate? It's just fantasy ecchi with comedy. Where was it making fun of isekai tropes?

There aren't even that many ecchi anime but whatever. Enjoy your crusade.

I mean I can really relate to them all the way. If I was in their world I would go to male brothels and do the same.

Beside IF there was a manga or anime that the rules are swapped and guys acting like women and the women acting like chads we would be looking at the female version of this anime and women would be saying "There no guys on the internet!" like others have said, funi didn't do their research and pulled out when they realized it was actually hentai. it's not a matter of "funi is SJWs" anymore when tokyo MX pulled out too.

I was totally thinking that myself when they had their gender bend experience with how they was totally comfortable showing of their new feminine assets that they would end up scissoring. Of course that would have defeated learning from a more experienced female about being a female. Unless you consider finding out for yourself. The elf totally wanted to be ravaged though. lol

There was a funny joke to be made with Stunk reviewing Zel a younger elf and Zel reviewing Stunk a younger human. That was missed. With their fans reading it publicly. If I had been writing this, I would realized what I stumbled on and moved this back later instead of blowing it so early. So that I could flesh it out (maybe, probably).

Funny this anime literally has become a favorite for my Feminist friends... Granted they are mostly SW's and it's actually been entertaining for them.

No 3rd/4th wave feminist can say this anime is harmful or bad for the movement. It literally gives power to sex work being real work and that it's okay to enjoy different types of women, men, and everything in-between.
Hell we even have an Inter-sex person in it! like my god, the american anime "frog in my hero academia is not a tomboy, he's trans, do you not see that, or do you hate trans people" <-- literally a real group of people think this.....

I mean hell, when has there been an adult ecchi without the typical HS Protagonist.

Yet back to the point, I have yet to have a female friend who ive convinced to watch it dislike it.
I have had a ton of dudes say it made them uncomfortable, or that i was seriously messed up in the head for watching this stuff... which I honestly think they are just embarrassed that they enjoyed it.

This is a huge step forward from the typical phobic Man-Maid, Gay Prisoner, or Post op Tranny we get in anime that assumes they are all incredibly masculine huge men and gets heavy into stereotypes. It throw's those to the wind for a light hearted fun anime any pervert of any gender or orientation can genuinely enjoy, as an adult, and not have to feel awkward for watching , since it's not about middle schoolers.

I'm reading that manga as well. As a guy, I find it hilarious. The conversation story part about if the girl can't get the guy hard, it end up being soul crushing to to the female, because guys just don't get the luxury of being able to fake it. I laugh at that part so much. Definitely a great read.

There are quite a few of them. Lately I've been into mangas and light/web novels about female mc and the otome isekai theme.

While I have no problem having the main focus be on the scandily clad women, I would love to see more "in-boy" action. It was teased in Episode 3, and I was really hoping Crem would experiment while the other three were away, but alas.

I'm not asking to see any dick (they obviously couldn't go that far), but they already have Stunk showing his full (but obscured) glory in the opening, his ass in Episode 2 as well as Episode 4. Just give me one episode and I would die happy!

Other than that, the show has a great premise and none of it has bothered me. I do wish each episode didn't feel like two ten-minute episodes, but it's not bad enough that I would drop it.

I like to hear women liking stuff like this and other stuff I watch because I feel it somehow justifies the questionable stuff I watch. Like Himegoto and Mitsudomoe being written by women.

Where do I meet one of these women though? Who can look past that I look more like an off-brand protagonist than any of the ones in this show.
