| This episode was a filler but a lot of fun. I am only not sure if I ever can take Piccolo serious again after this outfit XD. The ending was a bit confusing, when they were leaving the house was this 3 years in the future to go to Cyborg arrival?? Not sure if the german dub did a mistake with it but sounded like it. But if so, why Gohan looked still the same? |

| Fun episode, but a bit confusing according to the mainline "story". ChiChi can drive more than the two males can (she can drive airplanes and cars) without having any need for a man to take her for a ride. I guess she was a bit tired of being treated like a servant and she burst out for the two men to do something other than training training training and nothing else. Also, for the people who think this episode reintroduced the humourous stuff where there was none, I'm the only one who got the vegetables/carrot quip from Bulma as well as the reasoning/yakiniku seasoning in the previous episode? the humour has never disappeared from the radar to begin with. Other two things: 1) I still don't understand why people have problems with ChiChi, it's a normal japanese thing to be obsessed about studies like she is. She even tells it directly that she wants Gohan to be the best by studying, and the japanese people would agree with her. If you have watched any tokusatsu and you know the obsession of EVERY SINGLE IP of all periods, from Ultraman to Ryukendo and The crappy Tomica Hero Rescue Squad series, you know they have this thing of instillating at nauseam the idea that children must study like crazy and they must be prepared for a neverending life of work where there is no place whatsoever for lazyness (the japanese are not us italians and they don't particularly like lazyness for the sake of it, like a lot of my countrymen and countrywomen do). She's also a bit of a joke character, but the fact of the japanese audience being very receptive towards this kind of mentality exists; 2) apparently the english dub (I'm not an english native speaker) removed the lines of piccoro questioning why he was there in the first place and that ChiChi is stronger than Son Goku replacing with some crap about the origin of the clothing worn by Piccoro (surely the name on the cap wasn't an indication, at all), if a youtube video about this episode in particular with the english dub going on in the background is of any indication. If there's an example of why dubs suck ass and dubbers take liberties they shouldn't completely destroying anything in the process, this is it. This is the one that should be taken by heart. |

| @Pangea_ you mean Exceedraft work, not Superman work. The first episode of Exceedraft has the squad saving a bus of children that has fallen from the cliff https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yWShfz8fOWs . Excuse the eventual shitty subs courtesy of Toei™, I watched it through Weeabo-Shogun fansub, but I've read elsewhere that the subs on this channel are terrible. There's no need to always throw the americans in the mix and it fits with the person who made the Red Ribbon Army song from the 1986 Dragon Ball anime, the same one who did the intros for the first three series of the Rescue Squad Quadrology (I'm counting Janperson, where he didn't sing anything). Anyway, the Dragon was introduced in the Garlic Jr. Arc. So I guess you really didn't watch it, you should have IMHO. It's a very good arc of all things, no idea why fake fans of the IP shit on it. I guess because THE MANGAH!11!!1111 Bla bla bla bla bla bla (just burn in hell you and your shitty mangas, please). |

| @ProudElitist I see. You are right. But that act just comes off as a Superman thing to do to most people, since Exceedraft can be considered quite niche outside of Japan I'd say. I did watch the Garlic Jr. Saga, but from what I remember, they just put Haiya Dragon out of nowhere in there too Gohan after studying just randomly sees this dragon and flies away, no introduction no nothing Maybe Haiya Dragon was introduced in one of the movies, not sure. |
