| We have a Top Anime section, but we don't have a Bottom Anime section, so i've been wondering what the worst anime series are. And I don't mean some obscure thing that only one person has seen and given a 1, I mean the series, movies, or specials that are consistently rated very poorly. I'm wondering what the lowest accurate average on this site is, since people seem to be more likely to give out tens than ones, and even very widely hated series have averages above 5 if they're popular. Basically, what is the lowest rated anime that you have on your list, and what is its average? It doesn't matter what you rated it, I just want to know which series you watched has the lowest average. If anyone knows which anime are consistently considered the worst, please post those as well. |

| I heard Gun-dou Musashi is one of the wrost anime ever, but I've never watched it personally. It's not subbed, there is only a parody sub for the first episode, but the raws are out on nyaatorrents if anyone's interested. |

| Probably Mars of Destruction is the most consistently considered "bad" anime I can think of. I didn't rate it the lowest, but it's pretty bad in an almost amusing way. I'd recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat, though, just to see how bad anime can be. Anyway, the lowest anime I've rated would be Apocalypse Zero and MD Geist II: Death Force. Apocalypse Zero (4.74 overall rating by 509 users), is in the terrible class of Ed Wood, only with even less taste. I'm talking Old Man with a giant penis that he uses as a weapon kind of stuff which, as amusing as it is, is just not something I can consider anywhere close to good. MD Geist II (5.37 overall rating by 789 users) is just horrible. I hated the original, but holy hell. Couldn't think of anything even remotely positive about this OVA, except for maybe the over the top violence. This is just everywhere, making literally no sense. I'd say everyone should watch both of these. If you want to be able to tell what "bad" is. |

(Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.) As for what I rated the lowest, that would be Prism Ark and Shining Tears x Wind, both at 4/10 (Both average 6.8X). I put a Naruto OVA on 3/10 but I could care less about that. | school days at 2/10, just terrible, didn't like how the first half was your normal romance anime and then doing a complete turn around in the second half to become some sort murder/mind game type of anime. they should have just made this a hentai anime rather then a normal anime. lamune 4/10 - the main lead girl's voice wwas so annoying (i found) that i stopped watching at the 2nd or 3rd episode |

| I started by looking at the shows that I rated lowest but I found that no matter what a pile of crap a show is, it can still get decent ratings. I try to maintain a bell curve -- not too many at the top or bottom. Vampire Knight scores a 7.97. I gave it a 3 because the artwork is sometimes decent, even if the story is a steaming pile. Sora no Otoshimono scored a 7.86. This skid mark got a 4 but I don't remember why it earned such a high score. I'm not willing to re-watch it to figure it out again. But to respond to the actual OP, Shukufuku no Campanella is probably rated the lowest with a 6.51. I gave it a 3 because the artwork was attractive, none of the female characters had mutant breasts, and one character, Salsa, was great fun. Agnes also had some character. |
| Lowest average on my list would be Demonbane(2006) with 6.87 average, 4 from me. Second lowest average goes to White Album with 6.93, though I gave this 9 since fortunately, I managed to see through the aspects that made many people dislike this. |

| Bokusatsu Tenshi Dokuro-chan My rate: 2/10 (terrible) Average rate: 7.3 The anime is a comedy, however there are only two jokes in it. "Sakura (and he is a guy WTF?) is a pedophile" and "Off with yo head *SPLAT*". These two jokes gets repeated more times than I can count just in the first episode and continues throughout the rest of the series. The plot is just plain bad and it is pretty obvious that the creator was higher than a mountain when he wrote the script. |

| Lowest rated anime on my list: Pokemon (6.99/10). Gave it a 6, I'm quite fond of this series from my childhood, and would never give it a really BAD grade, but there are so many wrong things... MY lowest rated anime: Gedo Senki - 4 (7.29/10). Interestingly, as an utter Ghiblifan, I've been more harsh with its clunkers than with some other works. But this one is just bad, I can't find anything, not artistic (which I find amazing at times, but mostly cold and unspectacular), nor in terms of plot (a mess) or characters (another mess). Captain Tsubasa - 4 (7.25/10). First anime I've dropped this year. Never felt interested on it when I was a kid, but I tried ten episodes and had to leave because there was nothing that invited me to go on. Not only it is slow, extremely slow, but the characters are incredibly flat, the action and dialogue are too predictable and corny, and god that first football match was unbearable. Am I too old for this? Well, there are many "child" shows I've quite enjoyed recently. Guess this is not my cup of tea. |
