So ... Tsutaaja is a food thief. :)
And lol for Satoshi who try to capture her already ! XD
Tsutaaja look like surprised by the protection of Pikachu by Satoshi.
The music was good when you saw Tsutaaaja who think about what Satoshi did ... and she sleep.
Mijumaru is here ! And Tsutaaja use rock to block Satoshi. XD
Mijumaru is a male ... and Pokabu too.
Bad Luck Satoshi, you are not Iris. XD
Look like we have a BGM for Tsutaaja ? She look really sad ...
Mamepoto is a female ! And look like Satoshi is too stupid for understanding that. XD
And when Satoshi reverse his cap, you know he will capture the pokemon.
Really good episode because Tsutaaja have a good character.

Whoa, even though I thought it was kind of inevitable after the title was revealed, I was kinda hoping that Satoshi wouldn't get Tsutarja. Starters, as cool as they are, take up a lot of space on his team, which means that with Mamepato and Pikachu as well, we only have one more Pokémon space left.

Ash was dumb as always...
Lol at Ash trying to be Tarzan.
I'm sure some people would like if he drowned there ^_^

About Dento, where'd he find those cooking equipment?
There are tables, plates and a camp stove.
They don't have anything like a big, heavy backpack.
Add one point for the dream theory!! XD

I liked this Tsutarja.
It kind of reminds Bulbasaur, at least the tough character and the type.
But Pokabu continues to be my top favorite!!

For the last spot, maybe he will catch Darumakka/Hihidaruma, since Ash likes monkeys and the previous gym leaders already have the other three monkeys.
Well, letting out the gym battle episodes, Ash is on a catching spree...

Dento was like "I'm not eating this as it is" when he seen Iris' bowl of fruit. I wonder where he got that equipment though, he wasn't carrying a large hikers backpack.

^^TARDIS backpack.

OMG Mamepato's a gurrrrrrl :P. Tsutarja's awesome. I like her loner attitude.

Too bad the TRio didn't get a big role this episode, but seeing Meowth do something battle-wise is great.

Great episode. When the starters were announced Tsutarja was my favourite (even if one of them is self cooking bacon) and that has been compounded by it's attitude here.

Loving Team Rocket's less slapstick approach (perhaps they're always a little darker in the Japanese version? anyway that's good.

Satoshi really has got a good team coming together, even if he has forgotten the basics of Pokemon.

Anyone else find it annoying how in the anime, starter pokemon can be caught in the wild, yet in the game, they can't? :P

Dent is a 100% Brock rip-off; Gym leader, Siblings, Older than his teammate, great cook.

No, because the anime has never followed game logic.

Except that Dento is a grass trainer, doesn't fawn over anything with a skirt, and more importantly, he's FABULOUS!

lol I was kinda hoping he'd drown there, but then the series can't continue if he did... and Dent, like Brock, has access to hammerspace of course! Either that, or there's random cooking equipment conveniently located everywhere in the woods in Isshu XD

Yes, not only that, but Ash always catches them >_> .. at least in this they explain it better (abandoned by trainers)... but those trainers must be dumb, why would you release a starter Pokemon >_<

And yes, Dent copies Brock a lot... I miss Brock...

Yes, not only that, but Ash always catches them

Brock did get Mudkip in Hoenn, May got Torchic for free and Dawn got Piplup for free.. All others Ash/Satoshi already has.

Maybe they store those stuff like the pokemon: inside some way tiny capsule :? .

Satoshi really has got a good team coming together, even if he has forgotten the basics of Pokemon.

It does make it look a lot more like the beginning of Kanto :D But yeah, was he brainwashed or something? Pikachu isn't the same powerhouse like usual either >_<

Ditto. ;D Definitely my favorite starter this gen!

Man, Dent's cooking is so awesome. Transforming berries into delicious cakes? That takes some serious talent! I'm looking forward to whatever other exotic dishes he prepares.

I lol'd when the music went down when Ash said he didn't know Mamepato was female.

But I like this Tsutarja's personality, wonder how Ash's Isshu rival's Tsutarja would think.

Come to think. If those two Tsutarja battle, Ash must start with Attract (メロメロ) or I'll kick his butt to the moon. Look at how effective it was in this episode!!

Well, actually Mijumaru is the Mijumaru from the three starters he could choose from, as shown in earlier episodes.
He liked Saotoshi, and wanted to follow him.

And, I think it's pretty obvious that the Tsutarja he got is the one from the kid that pwnd him in the beginning.
Especially b/c of the Iris' and Dent's comments of Tsutarja leaving incompetent trainers.

So, actually all of the starters he got aren't from the wild, they are from the Professor's lab, and just happened to be around Saotoshi.

I really enjoyed this one, Tsutarja is great.
She is definitely the one I'll start with once Black & White comes out.

I love how she started to like Saotoshi at the end, and let him capture her!

Miju is great as always, well except that got Moepwnd!!

I'm loving the Saotoshi/Iris/Dent team-up....maybe better than Ash/Misty/Brock?

Urahara Out!!

No, it's not. That Tsutarja was a boy.

Also, Satoshi's Tsutarja has three attacks. Attract, Vine Whip and Grass Oath. Now, you could make a case that the fourth could be Grass Mixer, but there simply isn't enough time to make that Tsutarja learn three different attacks.

I didn't know what hammerspace means. Searched about it, and found a theory about where random things are located in animes.
LOL
Also, Iris already under the Hammerspace Hair category. I already knew about this ability, but didn't know it had a name XD
Maybe Iris is carrying all the equipment in it!!
Kibago must have a pretty good house in Iris' hair, since he likes staying in there! XD

I don't like how everyone here is totally hating on Ash for not knowing Pokemon genders. I'm sure as hell you guys didn't know either.

Anyways, other than Pikachu we actually didn't know any of the Pokemons' genders in his team. And Stutleaf, a female one at that (because Ash rarely owns female Pokemon), works very well. Mamepato is pretty powerful as well it seems.

Nice episode, although the trio chasing after the Tsutarja got a little boring after a while, it was cool how Tsutarja came to accept being caught in the end because of Satoshi's devotion to his Pokémon. Yet again Satoshi chucks a Pokéball at first sight, even though it's been like 5 years since his adventure started. -_-

Not really original that he got all the three starters though. Now there's only one spot left for something more exotic. =/

Nah, he won't get a Darumakka cause he already has Pokabu on his team.

Actually, they said in episode 1 that he's still 10 so it hasn't been a year yet. Satoshi's just kinda dumb that way

How do you know what the gender of that Tsutarja was? And do you really think time matters to the producers?

That aside, I'm liking the fact that Satoshi got all the starters... Reminds me of the first and second seasons. Also, just because he has 5 pokemon now doesn't mean he'll have the same ones later on... I'm guessing they'll follow some sort of parting path with a couple, like what happened with Charizard.

Kind of wishing I chose Tsutarja as my starter like I had originally planned instead of piking Mijumaru for the cool final evolution form...

True, I don't. But I would consider that all three of the starters are the same gender.

Anyway, I still think that Tsutarja was just wild. We'll know for sure when we see Shooti again.

(I'm gonna pick Mijumaru when I get the game btw.)

So anyone notice that this season is a total ripoff of the kanto region.
Dento= Brock
Iris= Misty
Tsutarja= Bulbasaur
Mijumaru= Squirtle
Pokabu= Charmander

I wonder suggest that this season is more like an alternate universe/time frame rather than a sequel to DP

At this point of the episode , i would think that because he was a jerk to ash . I mean idk It was just speculation on my part. You don't see any wild snivys out there. And yes he's not paul but he got a trash attitude like him.
