| Kyoko decides to cook dinner with Rintaro's favorite dishes to celebrate him passing his midterm exams. Based on his relaxed expression, she infers that things have been resolved. She is proud of him as he has found the motivation to work hard to achieve something. Reflecting on his decision not to share with his friends about his relationship with Kaoruko, and how much he enjoys being around them, he is determined to resolve this conflict. The next day in school, Shohei is suspicious of Rintaro as he was clearly distracted during physical education and lesson time. To find the root cause, he, Saku and Ayato follow him after school to see where he is going. They are shocked when they see him talking to Kaoruko and Subaru. Rintaro, Kaoruko and Subaru visit a resturant and order some drinks, and Kaoruko admits that she's happy about getting to frequently meet him. Shohei, Saku and Ayato sit at the table opposite them and overhear their conversation. Shohei's jealous of Rintaro meeting girls, Saku reminds him to keep down his volume, and Ayato is clearly unbothered.  Rintaro shares with the two girls that he wishes to explain things clearly to his friend group. They supported him during his time in Chidori, and he feels he can truly relax whenever he's with them. He knows that this may affect Kaoruko and Subaru because of their schools' relationship, and asks for their permission to tell them. They agree. Shohei, Saku and Ayato are touched. On Rintaro's way home with Kaoruko and Subaru, he encounters a group of delinquents... The delinquents are after Rintaro, seeking revenge for their juniors who approached Kaoruko in Episode 1. Kaoruko stands up for Rintaro, by claiming that the rumors about him are false, and Rintaro politely requests to settle this after she and Subaru leave. When one of them approach and touch Subaru's hair, she is visibly terrified. Shohei, Saku and Ayato intervene, and confidently reassure him that they will take care of this. Rintaro thanks them, and promises to explain everything afterwards. When they found out that the delinquents caused the injury to Rintaro's forehead, Ayato, who typically doesn't resort to violence, knocks them all out, under the reason of them hurting his friend. At the train station, Rintaro receives a phone call from them, saying that the issue has been resolved.  During the first baseball match of the Sports Festival, Rintaro is unable to concentrate. During the break, his friends approach him. He thanks them for helping to resolve the incident the day before. Shohei accidentally blurts out that they had been following him, and runs away with Ayato, leaving Saku to explain what happened. Saku apologizes for overhearing his conversation with Kaoruko and Subaru, and for interrogating him when asking about Kaoruko's note. He admits that he fully trusts him and the others. By the time Shohei and Ayato return, the tension between them has disappeared. In the second match, Rintaro hits a homerun and helps his class advance to the finals.  |

| Call it weird, but this is really what guys who care about you would do. After hearing the conversation between Rinatoru and Waguri/Subaru, it’s clear the feelings are mutual, Rinatoru cares about them just as much and wants to care even more. A friendship doesn’t get more wholesome than this truly. Everyone should strive to have friends like these. Friends that'll even stand up for you the way these guys did after hearing what these little delinquents did to Rintaoru. Seriously, do not mess with these guys, especially if you mention Rinatoru like they did, because they will not go easy lol. That shot of them calling Rinatoru cool was just pure aura. Forget Jinwoo, these are my real aura goats right here.... Okay, well they might've lost some aura there because Shouhei opened his mouth a little too much, but it's whatever lmao. With the homies, it ain't about the aura, it’s about the bond you share. And the bond these guys have is just... AHHHH, it’s way too wholesome, I can’t. Thanks to his homies, Rinatoru took the sports festival win home like a champ! Last episode showed how deep the bond between Waguri and Subaru is, and this one showed how strong Rinatoru’s bond with his boys is... :)  |

| Yeeeeeeeeees! Saturday is here! Saturday has now become “Waguri Saturday,” the most beautiful day for us. Today I ate a cake, I don’t even know its name! It got my hands messy, ugh, this week too! All for the sake of the picture.  Today’s episode was all about manliness and bravery! I swear he’s a true wolf! The appearance of the brave Ayato—seriously, it’s so refreshing! What surprised me was Subaru. At first, she appeared strong and courageous! But Waguri showed even greater bravery than her! That really surprised me! And I’m happy that the friends were reunited again and the misunderstanding was finally resolved. The episode adapted Chapters 13, 14, 15, and 16. Don’t forget to also read the special Chapter 16.5! | “He’s the coolest guy in the world” While the first few episodes went heavy on the romance angle of the series, it wouldn’t be a shonen if we didn’t get some friendship oriented episodes and the last two have been amazing. The relationship between Rintaro and his friends is so heartwarming, I LOVE seeing positive male relationships like this where they’re not afraid to be vulnerable and defy traditional gender norms. The way Rintaro was feeling down because he didn’t wanna lose his friends and wanted the sort of relationship Subaru and Kaoruko have.. he didn’t realize he had it the whole time. Just the fact he’s seeking out their approval to introduce his friends to them so everyone can know each other and there’s no more secrets, proves how special that bond is. Imagine having a friend who really cares about you that much irl! The boys stalking Rintaro might’ve been an invasion of privacy, but they stepped in to save Rintaro and the girls from the lame ass rapey thugs so it balances out lol. Imagine being such a lame bitch you have other people come back and fight your battles after you got your ass beat, and you don’t even show yourself, just hiding behind a tree 😂 grown ass man scared of kids. Also, peep how when the guys approached Kaoruko, Rintaro steps in front to protect her and Subaru’s body also instinctively reacts as if she was willing to put herself between Kaoruko and the guys too even tho she herself is scared as hell. I love her sm. You see how afraid she is when the guy touches her hair and her PTSD flares up. Just shows you how traumatic that bullying was as a kid that her mind instantly goes back to those days on the playground in that moment. I don’t think those goons will be messing with Rintaro, Subaru or Kaoruko again after that ass beating though. So cool how they make sure to let them know they see Rintaro as their hero. Another parallel to his relationship with his friends and Kaoruko’s with Subaru. Both heroes don’t think much of themselves, but they don’t realize the positive impact they’ve had on those around them. So much respect to Saku for owning up to things and apologizing to Rintaro. Yea, it’s a bit melodramatic and it’s anime etc, but it’s still a really important thing for guys to learn to accept their mistakes and how to say sorry, especially to other men. Often we’ve been taught that shows weakness or makes you soft, nah, apologizing is real strength and it’s how you grow. The home run scene is soo nice, Rintaro needed this badly and I love this for him. Honestly the boys would fit in so well with the wind breaker cast. I know the mangaka did a collab illustration recently(available thru Kinokuniya), I want more because a lot of the themes are so similar. Very sweet episode. |

| Damn, I didn’t think the Chidori lads were this strong! Couldn’t have just been Ayato-kun dealing with everyone, and Rintarou-kun’s definitely got the genes to give off the strong impression too. Quite literally, don’t mess with this group, lol. Usami-kun surely gave it away a lot earlier before the pre-baseball events in the restaurant scene when he was screaming out his jealousy, lmao. I feel like the director(s) could’ve made the voice actors whisper or something but that wouldn’t sound good either so I guess there’s no helping it. Just a funny observation, not really a complaint or anything. Next episode should be Rintarou’s group and Waguri-san’s group meeting, can’t wait! Damn, I didn’t think the Chidori lads were this strong! Couldn’t have just been Ayato-kun dealing with everyone, and Rintarou-kun’s definitely got the genes to give off the strong impression too. Quite literally, don’t mess with this group, lol.
Usami-kun surely gave it away a lot earlier before the pre-baseball events in the restaurant scene when he was screaming out his jealousy, lmao. I feel like the director(s) could’ve made the voice actors whisper or something but that wouldn’t sound good either so I guess there’s no helping it. | This episode was so good man. Seeing Rinatarou talk about his friends in a kind way, really shows that he really cares about his friends and that they will be there for each other when times are tough. Seeing Rintarou's friends put their heads down during the restaurant scene, shows that their friendship means a lot to them. This friendship between the four is so wholesome and I wish I had a friend group like theirs. I really do love Rintarou's friends, they're great and seeing them smiling at the end of the episode made me really happy. 5/5 |
| It's always the quiet ones that are most dangerous - Ayato is a beast when angry. And the group overhearing Rintarou's honest thoughts about them at the restaurant was quite wholesome. One problem I had with the events is that it should have been Saku to move in and save Subaru, instead of Usami, but I guess the mangaka was not shipping them at this point. |

| I mean these guys looked like some absolute bozos, so not really surprised that they got soloed, lol. Good job Ayato. But all of them deserved credit for pulling up for their boy Rintarou. This was probably my favorite episode so far. |

| I love this anime but I just wish all the core conflicts weren’t so lame. The school rivalry as the primary point of contention, which is so nonsensical and forced, just makes all these amazingly written moments hard to take seriously. There doesn’t need to be anything crazy like school gang turf battles or anything, but even if there was some history of actual conflict or competition that legitimized their mutual hatred would go a long way. The classist warfare they went with is lacking any history to make it believable or carry any weight, so when they get all torn up inside about associating with each other or keeping secrets about it, the drama just feels a little hollow. This anime is a solid 7/10 but would be a 8 or even 9/10 if this was addressed. |

| I LOVE THIS SHOW SO FUCKING MUCH!!!! Listen, I get that there are so many shows out there that portray manly bonding. Through fighting, power scale difference or whatever the use is that shonen uses to convay that kind of emotion. The RAW shit is hard to beat, and even harder to show case in a insanely emotionally moving manner. I love that Tsumugi, as kind hearted as he is, went out of he's way to ask the girls that would end up in trouble if noticed about their action or interaction with the Tsumugi. And he asked the girls to take more risk, FOR HIS BOYS, this dude apologized, and communicated what he wanted. There is literally ZERO miscommunication in this show and yet somehow doesnt not fail to entertainer by showing the emotional dynamics of the characters. I FREAKING LOVE THIS. The writing in this episode hit close to home. I've had my boys back in school, but unlike tsumugi, I didnt go out of my way to trust em and I think part of the reason why we drifted apart is due to what tsumugi did in the earlier episode. Closed off, and wanted to move on with topic but that only further damages the relationship if it does not get addressed. And you see tsumugi torn, spacing out, and overthinking the process, rightfully so too. I Love that they show this using baseball (which I dont like, but anime uses this to covey characters dynamic) to show that tsumugi was going through it. I LOVE THIS SHIT AGHHH Plot: 10/10 emotional bonding, communication, and clearly being open and trusting with each other Theme: 10/10 bond, trust, and honesty Characters: 10/10 yeah, I'm not messing with the small one  OST: 10/10 very light, and when shit hits the fan, you best believe I'm at the edge of my seat Overall: 10/10 I loved it, this honestly feels refreshing to watch a show with minimal miscommunication Anyway, I loved it I hope you loved this episode. The apology, the resolution, the sweet sound of that thwack and then "I'm a frickin' genius" with that photo at the end. Aww, damn, who's cutting onions?? Just hit all the feels. Wonderful. |

| Can’t stop saying how everything is beautiful in every episode - and not just the appearance too. The perfect blend of romance and friendship on both ends. Little to no drama (though it can get dramatic at times) Very sweet of Rintaro to go out of his way to ask Subaru and Waguri their consent before letting his friends know. That goes to show how much he cares about them. Although his friends tailing him was weird they did it out of concern and I’m glad they did otherwise Rintaro might have a harder time conveying his feelings. |

| Though it has gotten a bit slow on the romance the last few episodes (compared to how it started), I still find the friendship scenes in this anime very cute and sincere. I think it's special how much importance both Rintaro and Kaoruko put in each others friendships. Caring and making an effort to get to know your significant other loved ones it's often overlooked in romance animes and I love how well this one conveys it. I'm very much looking forward for more romantic moments and progress with our protagonists in the future! |
| Boy friendships always make me cry, man, because I had a friend like that before, but we were separated due to our parents' jobs and never met again. I just hope someday I will meet them again, no matter how old we are. Anyway, 10/10 episode. |
| Back to more peak this week after a bit of melodrama last week resolving Subaru's lifelong emotional problems in a single episode. A little cliche with Rintarou hitting a walk off home run in the 9th inning after having a heart to heart with Saku, but I doubt anyone cares because the whole episode was absolute cinema and wholesome. Beautiful friendships all around in this series. |

| Perfect ep The guys following Rintaro was mad funny, icl. Like how Rintaro realized hiding it wasn't right anymore and how important his friends truly are. I be forgetting how many times that they say sorry. Kinda cringe lol. They do say the quiet ones are often the most powerful. Lil aura moment with the gang to protect Rintaro, Kaoruko, and Subaru. Great to see them reconcile and win sports day. This ep adapted the rest of ch 13 and 14-16. Adapted exactly how I thought they would, thankfully. 10/10 |
