Well, Sakura can survive fights but a cold brings him down.

Good to know he has a lot of friends and allies that cares about him. Even that witress Kotoha came to take care of although I do find their chemistry slightly odd this episode.

Weeks without crying to a Wind Breaker Episode: 0 idk about y’all, but I’ll never get tired of seeing Sakura’s walls break down and him learning to accept other people AND himself. Beautiful episode.

Wouldn’t be a school anime without the obligatory out from school sick with a cold episode. Slightly different vibes from most others since we’re a boys delinquent series, but just as sweet nonetheless. Suo and Nirei bringing Sakura all those snacks was soo cute. Broke my heart hearing him mumble that he was used to dealing with this alone but that visit really sparked something in him.

I think Sakura went from one extreme to the other. Initially he didn’t care to get attached to anyone, but now he’s overthinking everyone’s perception of him and thinking of himself as a failure. Dude it’s your first big leadership role it’s OK, no one expects you to be a battle tested leader! The strongest people in history had flaws and they managed to be successful because they had others supporting them who could compliment their weaknesses! That’s all we can do as people

Loved Kaji’s speech so much and it’s even better when you realize he used to be in the same position as Sakura and you’d never know it because he’s now learnt to trust his friends! Did NOT expect him to straight deck Ume for eavesdropping like that though lmao holy shit.

“Rely, rely on. Forgive. Be forgiven. That’s how you stay together!” Love this group so much, perfect confidence boost going into the next arc.

This was an amazing episode—it gave such a warm feeling while watching. A calm moment before the storm.

Sakura has really grown a lot. Even though he still struggles with relying on others and being relied upon, you can see the change. He came here as an outcast, choosing to distance himself from everything. It was touching to see everyone worry about him when he got sick, especially after how hard it’s been for him to fit in with such a quirky group.

Seeing Tachibana nurse him and gently teach him the importance of bonds—what one person can do alone versus what they can do with support—was genuinely soothing. And the way she teased him a little made it even sweeter.

Kaji helping Sakura with advice he once received from Hiiragi showed how much he’s grown too. It feels like he’s walked the same path Sakura is on now, and I’m sure his words reached him. It’s about time Sakura breaks out of his shell and confronts his fear of being rejected by others.

Can’t wait to see what the next episode has in store for us.

Well, this was a snowball that turned into a non-stop avalanche, a crash course for Sakura as well as Kaji. Geez. Bunch of delinquents and they're all super dorks or super tsun. (Or both.) 🤣

Gottta love how crisp and vibrant everything is, too, when the dust settles and things slow down for an episode or two. So much detail, from cityscapes to pieces of clothing and generic clutter in a room. A+.

Two slow, introspection episodes in a row? And nothing new or interesting has been said.

The anime just feels nice to watch and listen to for some strange reason, but it's really pushing it right now...

Needs more Kotoha and Umemiya. And punching.

I never expected to relate to Sakura so much. A lot of his emotions this episode mirror my own or one's I've felt in the past. Because it's scary trusting people when so many have rejected you. When people have looked down upon you or thought of you as lesser than. Sakura not knowing how to deal with all his new friends accepting him. It's a tough thing looking at people because what if they don't look back. Extending your hand because what if it's slapped away or not reciprocated in the slightest. So you just stop and begin assuming everyone hates you. That even if someone says they appreciate you it's just for the things you do not because you're you. Sakura has been getting a big dose of that feeling lately. This episode handled his feelings very well. That talk on the roof with Kaji warmed my heart, it's exactly what Sakura needed to hear. You have to trust people when they show you they like you. As tough as that can be sometimes. Suo and Nirei were great friends this episode too. Not only going to check on Sakura but knowing what he needed in the moment. It was great seeing Kotoha again. Her talk with Sakura did great for him, explaining that everyone needs help from others. Because even if you yourself can do it, when someone helps you that allows you to do even more things. Sakura is experiencing a lot of new emotions so it's gonna take time for him to adjust. But this is a great step forward!

Its not surprising that Sakura live on his own, but rather the condition he lives in

I am surprised they never touch on that in Season 1, now we get to see how he lives and survive on his own, that's why he can't open up to his friends yet

Nice recap/additional explanation. And a brilliant episode, wasn't it??

And especially nice for people who struggle like you as, even if it's "just an anime", it may give some people a push to take a chance on not being rejected. (and, let's face it, much of how we are in life is based on past experiences, and some of us are lucky in that respect, and some aren't).

Plus, even for people who appear really self-confident, I think many worry about being rejected, it's just that some hide it better than others (ie: they're not spitting like a cornered cat like Sakura :) (loved that scene on the roof too!)

For instance, I know a very famous singer quite well, and I know for a fact, while he seems incredibly self confident, he has multiple issues with trust and worries about rejection. But you'd never know it looking at him.

Besides, every single one of us has been rejected at some time or another. You should see my checkered history with men I liked -- hahahahaha.

I think the moral then is to try not to take it to heart as you may think it's you, when in reality it can often be the other person's issues. Hopefully, Sakura will eventually realize that!

So Sakura really live alone, under those damn place, imagine if he's liking ramen too....

Kaji truly an unexpected character with his inheritance teaching. He gets so much development with all the blabbing after his introduction a several episode before, than the leader Umemiya and his teams. Heck, even Kaji gets the teaching from Hiiragi not Umemiya kinda gives me a very curious aftermath over the what's goin on with the third class.

Perhaps i miss dialogue on a season one, but lets just move forward to see the next....

Wow, let’s see… a good episode? And what makes it good? No trash action, no annoying characters, just the ones that are actually tolerable this time around. And honestly, that alone made for a great episode.

The direction, ED, and storyboarding were miles better than the last three shitstains of episodes. Clearly the staff has a soft spot for Sakura, one of the only good characters in this show. I always find it funny when they try to characterize him, but surprisingly, this time around, it actually worked.

Great stuff. Although, this is probably gonna be the peak of the season. I’ll stick around to see if it somehow gets worse than the first three episodes… or maybe, hopefully, manages to top this one.

Wow this episode was actually really good, definitely the best one of the season so far and probably even one of my favorite episodes out of the two seasons. Great character development for Sakura. So many wholesome moments, and some sound advice was given. I especially love how Kaji passed on the exact same advice that he once received from his senpai. He sees his past self in Sakura.
A lot of the advice given seems like common sense, but with Sakura's past of getting shunned by others and his tendency to do everything by himself, it's understandable why he struggles with relying on others. I could definitely relate to him in a lot of ways, especially with own lack of self-esteem and cynical views. Sakura's found a wonderful group of friends, bless them.

I love this episode. Sakura's character is developing gradually. He is learning what friendship means. I liked the part where Kotoha came to take care of him. Kotoha is surely very mature. She gives him advice all the time. I know that it's not a romance anime. But I want to see more chemistry between them. Kaji's advice scene was very wonderful also.

The Best Episode of the series so far. So relatable and realistic teaching from Kaji and unlike other protagonists, Sakura seems like an actual person with his actions that so many people can relate to.Most of the times it doesn't take just a single person or incident to change a person like shown in other shows. Sometimes, it can take a lot of time and collective effort to overcome these issues and the way it is confronted in the anime is realistic and not over the top like others. The direction taken with the episode actually makes us understand and sympathise with Sakura and his struggles. The other characters seem to get where he is coming from without even knowing his past and that makes them really insightful as well. Now I can't wait to see how Sakura reciprocates their kindness, help, guidance and friendship and how he incorporates that in his life. Looking forward to seeing a version of Sakura where he has finally accepted himself for who he is and care about the people around him like they do for him in the future. In a nutshell, it was honestly really deep and therapeutic. Can't wait for the next episode.

Pretty interesting episode, i'm never against good chara developpement but i'd say it felt a tad long and whiny also i think most people watching this don't expect something that deep, they just want cool fights and since this season 2 is only 12 episodes we're already getting less and less of that, so yeah i like Sakura as a character but i hope from now on he can take things better.

Such a beautiful, emotional episode. Haruka not going to school due to his cold, Akihiko & Hayato visiting him delivering water, orange jelly, and many other stuff purchased by Tsukasa, Mitsuki, Masaki, and Yuuri. Kotoha runs by Akihiko and Hayato and gets the gist of it from the duo. Barges into Haruka's flat, imposing on him purposely as to tell him that even if you can go cook or buy by yourself, it is perfectly fine for your friends do them for you. Like, you don't gotta do everything by yourself, even if you can, fine for others to do so too.

Then cooking for him, slapping his forehead with the fever patch, and lastly, giving him his cold pills. Next day, Haruka got better, screwed class, flew immediately to Ren, to finally open up with everything built up inside, with Ren just going into more detail in regards to Haruka & Kotoha's convo from yesterday, in addition to some requotes learned way back by Touma. I really hope that Haruka deciphers what he'd been told by Ren, and apply flawlessly towards his classmates in the upcoming episode. For us 2 hop onto the next arc at once.

I am sorry for Sakura’s condition, but he should be very grateful for those amazing friends he has right now. He can learn so much from them and it’s perfectly fine to count on them anytime, because they are truly an united team.

Kaji’s teachings were useful and I liked the fact that more details about Sakura’s backstory were shown. Amazing episode as always!
