You will hardly find anyone like that, because if someone dislikes S1, it is unlikely to start S2.

season one by itself was a masterpiece so in that front I quite adamantly disagree but I do agree that season 2 was better

No. Actually the reverse. S2 had awesome character building and growth arcs but am I the only one that was disappointed because of the lack of screaming viking action? That was one of the biggest allures of S1 and there was hardly any in S2. Still an amazing anime in both seasons.

Both were really good. Season 1 had amazing action and fighting, while season 2 had amazing character development and a great message.

I didnt give any shit of any character besides Thor and his family watching S1. And the moment Thorfinn became the viking's pawn, I didnt care about any character. S2 makes me give a shit about someone by episode 2.

I despised Thorfinn in S1. He almost ruined the show for me. Found out the anime rearranged the story a little & gave him more screen time than the manga. Makes me wonder if I would’ve enjoyed it more by just reading it.

S2 was a much more enjoyable watch for me.

S1 was carried by Askeladd tbh. He actually felt like the protagonist instead of Thorfinn lmao. The action scenes were also good. Basically pure Vikings fights, but yeah that's about it.

S2 was great, had its peaks but was overall really boring imo. MAPPA adapted it beautifully but the pacing kinda turned me off. I was almost close to dropping this season ngl, but decided to stick around till the end since I love MAPPA's works so much. Also I had already read this part in the manga.

In short, considering enjoyment wise then, S1 definitely clears but writing or character development wise, S2 was better imo.

For me season 1 was good because we can see Thorfinn's journey starting from innocent kid, I dunno why you would hate it, like it's an important part of the story and you can see how a person can change if they dedicate their life to revenge, how it's destroying their life. Season 2 was good too because Thorfinn became a great human that wants to make world a better place starting from himself. Imo both seasons are great, different but great in their own way.

neither is exactly "bad" but if anything, s2 has more skippable episodes. s1 always had a lot going on and i enjoyed every single episode but i can't say the same for s2.
