| i watched it as a ~17 y/o with absolutely no nostalgia (i never watched the series prior to then) and i very much disliked the series. the reason being filler, flashbacks, recaps, single dialogues spanning episodes on end with no actual progression, etc. if you know you're into battle shounen, then go ahead and give it a try and just drop it if you don't end up liking it. if you're not into battle shounen and/or you're old enough to be considered not within the age demographic then there's a good chance you're not going to like it. i would never personally recommend watching naruto, but everyone is different and there certainly is a a lot of people who do like it and that's not for nothing. |
| I am dragon Ball fan so I made myself not to watch Naruto . But at some point during lockdown I gave up and started watching including with fillers. I won't say it's bad and at the same time so good either I haven't watched it at the right time bc at present there are many great shounen animes yeah my only regret is if maybe i have watched before I may have liked it. | I'd recommend watching the Ocean cut of Naruto + Shippuden. It's a fanmade version which removes all filler, unnecessary flashbacks, etc. I'm rewatching Naruto through it right now and it's probably the best way to watch the series. I've found no faults with it so far except that it cuts the introduction of two minor characters, but that's really it. I can also imagine Shippuden is improved a hell of a lot as it was pretty much ruined by filler throughout the whole series, unlike Naruto which just has most of its filler at the end. You could just skip the filler episodes as other people have said, but even in canon episodes there are still filler moments and stuff. So yeah I'd recommend giving the Ocean Cut a go. It's easy to find if you just google it. |

| Naruto can be a really good show or a nightmare to complete based on if you watch the fillers or not. So yes, it's worth it but only if you skip the filler episodes. |

| Yes it's worth it. Don't worry too much about the length, thanks to the massive number of filler episodes the pacing is for most parts a lot more bearable than in the One Piece anime. |

| Well, I watched naruto while I was in High-school, for me it was really enjoyable and tbh, it was among the first anime watched, so I was pretty invested in it, but as I watched even more stuff I realised that naruto is not really the masterpiece I thought it was, BUT : Even though it's not a masterpiece, it's still a classic of anime world that it's a must watch just like Dragon Ball, Naruto does have a vast amount of Well written characters ( Itachi, Nagato, Zabuza and many more) People complain about fillers, yes indeed there are quite a number of them, but if you like the show you really don't mind them, fillers explore more the world of that anime, even though sometimes it's annoying to have just 1-2 main eps and 5-10 fillers, for some people it just builds more hype, and for some it kills it, depends. But Naruto it's not all about Ninjas and fighting, you will want to take a look at the characters, their development, reasons, motivations, some stories are really inspiring and full of teachings. So, to answer the question, yes, Naruto is worth watching, even if it's not perfect, it will keep you hooked up for months. |
