And suddenly, we're in Lithuania, ten years earlier.
Aww, too bad, it wasn't the mad maid, it was just a bunch of mad nuns.

And Kujo you stubborn runt, what do you think you're doing?

So anyway, ain't that the most ominous name evar or what?
And speaking of ominous, I'm actually getting curious about how this is going to turn out in the end.
Protip: I don't really check the forums anymore, so if you want something, take it on my profile.
Is it time for my long-awaited return to the forums? щ(゚Д゚щ) Nope™, probably not.

Crazy nuns in the beginning... (probably from despair?)

Victorique was taken away! The police is helping him out with where she is.

Creepy Indian doll on the train.

Circus there?! Among the celebration, Victorique is "playing hide and seek"?? It turns out it was her mother (?, the little woman who is with the magician) who led him to Victorique.

Good episode. I wonder what everyone's roles will be. And what the hell is wrong with that guy who wants to see his daughter....he acted a little creepy and suspicious.
I am a sucker for romance!!!!

Batshit insane nuns invoking the Virgin Mary's power to destroy German biplanes.

Both Brian and Cordelia are around as well, with Cordelia being more of a factor in this episode, we will meat the big bad next episode and possibly Cordelia again.

Cordelia is pretty short, I thought she was a bit taller. I think the doll that move might be Cordelia inside. And also nice episode :)

It seems the story is finally unfolding, but at the same time I'm mostly just wondering what's going on since most of these developments seem to come out of nowhere.

Those nuns were creepy. Reminded me of To Aru Majutsu no Index's nuns. I wonder if Cordelia and her daughter will ever meet, they probably will. I thought Cordelia would be taller, but Kujo mistaken her for Victorique. Victorique and Cordelia look alike. They could almost be twins, but Cordelia had this thing about her that seemed different.

Am I the only one not surprised about how alike Cordelia and Victorique are? They're mother and daughter, so there you go. Plus they showed Cordelia standing next to Roscoe at the end of the Gray Wolf arc, so it shouldn't be that surprising.

*Looks up Cordelia's seiyuu* Sawashiro, Miyuki! Yes! I knew it sounded like her. Not sure how well her voice will fit, but we'll see. Either way, I like her.

The weird mechanical doll Kujo found looks kind of like the Zoltar machine in the movie Big. That was the first that came to my mind.

I think is a great start to a promising arc.... always glad to see Brian Roscoe ;)

Victorique's mother is sooo kawaiiii<3

I wonder what lies in store for them at this creepy festival of the night. I'm curious what De Blois is planning... why kidnap Victorique? I have a couple guesses but we'll see...

Yeah, destroying bombers that didn't exist yet in a country that didn't exist yet.

When I saw them foaming at the mouth, I was half-hoping to see Orsola again.

I suppose Victorique has little hope of getting any taller, considering mama's size.

I lulzed at the mechanical man. It reminds me of the one in that old silent movie, "The Chess Player." I wonder if they'll use it the same way....

If Victorique was sent away, how can Kujo just go and get her back? Wouldn't she just be taken again?

So Brian Roscoe and Cordelia are basically on Kujo and Victorique's side. I wonder if they will try to stop Victorique's dad evil plan. I can't get how Victorique could make another "great war" (WWII) or something about Albert's conspiracy.

I found this episode rather disappointing. Most of the episode he spent doing nothing inside a train traveling. It was also fairly obvious that this was going to happen after all the foreshadowing in 15. There reunion seems more like a preview for the next episode then actually part of this episode honestly. We get to see them together for less then two minutes and that was the only content of this episode. By far the worst episode of Gosick so far.

Like a lot of other people I kept getting the whole "I'm watching To Aru Majutsu no Index" at the start of the episode feeling. XD Great episode. It looks like the anime will line up with the books fairly well in the end. I just hope they make GOSICK S into an OVA or something along those lines. :O

I'm still surprised by how Kujo would go to the ends of the earth just for Victorique. Then again, I'm really not :P

Kujo sure is awesome rescuing Victorique the same episode they captured her, but shouldn't she be taken back by them or something?

Aside from the anachronisms about Lithuania (still part of the Russian Empire and not a separate country at that point in the war) and German bombers (probably a little early although the observers dropping 8 or 10 kilo bombs by hand was how the first bombing started--the problem is that Lithuania was probably out of range for 1914 biplanes), this was really an interesting episode. Kujo should have checked the drawer on the bottom of the mechanical Turk, since that was probably Cordelia's way into the mechanism (she's small enough to fit inside and work the mechanism, and the thump on the head is just what her daughter would do to Kujo).

While Brian and Cordelia do seem to be allies for Kujo and Victorique, they do have their own game to play. I can't wait to see where this is going next episode. (And frankly whether the nuns are sane or not, the whole concept of a convent named Beelzebub's Skull is a little unsettling....)

Glad to see that Grevil cares about Victorique. :) Also, makes me wonder why Roscoe hates Albert de Blois. I'm looking forward to next episode to see more of Cordelia. ^^

Leaving the historical bullshit aside (as @rodac above has already said, there was no Lithuania up until 1918, when it regained independence), it was a pretty good episode. The last few ones were a bit of a drag to watch, with this whole romantic triangle and all... but I'm glad to see how it's back to its proper form. Also, Beelzebub's Skull is a name that would be fitting for a ward for lunatics, rather than for a convent, but whatever - if the nuns were fine with it, then let's have it their way.

I doubt they help them out of good will, it seems that Kujo and Victorique are part of there scheme. Otherwise Brian or Cordelia would have done something before and save Kujo the trip.
